Czarina
I'm pretty sure that they develop 'research' on the teams back in August...and that they don't update it. Besides, what else is there for them to talk about?
LooGie
why is that all the commentators during the day games don't have to try and talk about total BS but these idiots cannot find ANYTHING else to do? they are barely listenable, they are total Megan Fox bags. they should be fired, escorted out, shot, raped, beheaded, and quartered with their sections being mailed to the 4 corners of the NFC North. I f'ing hate them, and Mike Patrick is just the worst. I'd be Theismans man-wh0re before I'd cross the street to spit in Mike's face. He's stupid, ignorant on everything, and wears more makeup then a tijiuana crack wh0re. OMG JUST MAKE IT STOP! If they get the MNF job, I'm watching old XFL tapes in their place. Anyone that coaches a team that horrible should be.

You can't tell me that of all of the media talent out there, these 3 stooges are the best that ESPN can come up with? Absolutely deplorable! I find myself reaching for the mute button quite a bit. It literally hurts my brain to hear these mullets talk. What are they talking about anyway? Bickering to eachother, I swear Mike Patrick and Joe Theesman are butt buddies! STOP IT NOW!!! Chaim Witz
They suck, as has been mentioned a billion times....... But thank God they got rid of that pseudo-siren exit/intro they have been using for commercial breaks. That got annoying as well, but I enjoyed not hearing that crappola again. myhousekey
When they opened up the broadcast saying "Welcome to Sunday Night Football where the Texans are hosting the Chiefs in front of much less then a sell out crowd." I knew it was going to be a long night. The real question....higher TV ratings?: Chiefs @ Texans Saints @ Jets

Bill Swerski
As bad as Theisman and Maguire are, I'll take those two over Madden (who seems to be in the early stages of dementia) any day.

Ursa Majoris
The failings of the Sunday Night crew are well documented, but I watched the whole of CAR vs CHI yesterday and the "color" guy (can't remember the name) on that broadcast was just dreadful. He had absolutely no clue, at one stage claiming the whistle does not stop the play any more. Presumably the players just go on until they get fed up with it and stop, then? His broadcast buddy was clearly embarassed by this clown. Following that I watched CIN vs IND and was subject to the demented ravings of Phil Simms, another nincompoop that thinks he has to bellow everything as if each event is as sensational as the second coming of Jesus Christ. Crappy announcers are not confined to evening games.

What??? Uh sorry Phil, I think it's called "conclusive visual evidence".

Easy n Dirty
Didn't see the CIN/IND game yesterday, but on the whole I've always thought Simms was pretty good (he says sheepishly). As for Jets/Saints, a buddy of mine put 4 tix to that game up on eBay, I think best offer he got so far was $100 for the whole lot of them. Between two lousy teams and having to drive home on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend, you can barely give tickets away to this one. He was insisting it was Michael Gaines, the CAR TE. Whoever the other announcer was kept whispering that "it's probably not Gaines. It's probably not Gaines." It was freaking hillarious. So, my wife got to hear me complain about announcers in that game and in the SNF game this week!! She was very happy by 11:00 last night.
