16 team Albany NY keeper league has 2 openings (updated from previous post)

Recommended Posts

This is a 13-year-old league that has had very little turnover. However going into 2006 we have

lost 2 members. Since we can fall back on a 14-team league, the players are reluctant to give up much in the way of any supplemental picks. That said we could offer financial incentives for new member(s).

This is an incredible league that is highly competitive. Most owners in there 30's

and have been together almost the whole way. The league prizes are substantial, and the draft is live on 8/26. Probably around 1pm in Johnstown NY. About 45 minutes Northwest of Albany.

We have a Golf and Poker tourney that Friday as well. The league is a keeper league, but players are traded more than your normal keeper leagues. In fact this off-season alone guys like McGahee and Portis have been moved. If interested post here or send me an email bertcrom@nycap.rr.com. This really is an excellent opportunity for the right owner(s) to get into a real hard-core, extremely competitive, and very stable league.

We keep 3 players, scoring is fairly basic (heavier on TD's , but that could change slightly), and the draft is standard snake. League is at http://football3.myfantasyleague.com/2006/home/16133; the teams are Chicago and Quebec. This is an updated post from a few weeks back. Originally we had a 15th owner, but the Chicago franchise was a tough sell. This owner wasn’t interested in doing a supplemental draft

Involving both franchises. Basically Chicago has better keepers, but is down a 1st and 2nd round pick.

They have an extra 3rd, and Quebec has all their picks including 1.04. Basically I want 2 owners who would be willing to draft from these 2 franchises. The draft would include players and picks, so 1st pick would be to take Quebec’s 1.04 pick, 2nd pick maybe Chris Brown and etc… The picks would be limited to the 1st 4-5 rounds, after that the teams would receive those standard picks.

Financial incentives would be a discount for the 2006 season. (Normal fee is $170, so something like $85 per squad) We would require some type of 2007 commitment however. I'm biased, but this is an incredible league with nothing but great owners.

Please let me know if interested in more details

I will need to know by 6/24 at the latest. We need to know, so we can determine if we will be going with 14 or 16.
