MIAMI, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Roy Black, Rush Limbaugh's attorney, issued the following statement today in response to several inquiries by the media:

While going through routine Customs inspection of luggage at Palm Beach International Airport upon his return from an international trip, Rush Limbaugh was detained by customs agents after they noticed a non-narcotic prescription drug, which had been prescribed by Mr. Limbaugh's treating physician but labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes. After a brief interview, Mr. Limbaugh was permitted to continue on his journey.

OK, that is very funny (pot and kettle kind of thing), and ½ of what spews out of his mouth is total cr @ p (I am sure that the parents, wives, and children of soldiers in Iraq are really very relieved to know that their loved ones in Iraq are actually safer than a poor, black, 18 -25 y/o male in inner city Detroit) but my god people, open your eyes. Is this really what we want in this country? Crazy terrorist kill 2,000 people, and now the Federal Government needs to go through an American Citizens luggage down to each individual Rx and find out what the Rx is for, who’s name is on the label, etc, etc? Is that really what you want?

OK, I am going way out on a limb here. Way way out. Marriage problem causing way out, but frankly this country and what it stands for is more important to me than my marriage (sorry hun, I love you to death and would gladly die for you, but not sure I can make you and me out to be more important than 300 million people.

My wife has herpes. (I know that some of you do not think too highly of me, and that is fine, you are welcome to say anything you would like about me, call me anything you want, but lets try and not make my wife’s medical condition the subject of any jokes or ridicule – if anyone is really interested, I will be happy to PM or meet and Chat in private about it). Is this really what we want for this country, that if my wife goes to the airport, she has to think well do I really want to take my medication with me? Do I really want somebody I do not know, that probably makes $10 an hour going through my medication, asking me what it is, and what it is for? 50,000 people die every single year in auto accidents in this country. 50,000! That is ½ million, every decade, nobody gives a cr @ p, but 2,000 people die in a terrorist attack, and we are ready to throw Civil Liberties out the window? I think about these whole thing, and all that keeps popping in my mind is “we had to destroy the village to save it”.

I want you people to think long and hard about this countries “War on Drugs” how long has it been going on 20 years? Any end in site? Has it accomplished anything? It has made some South American Drug Lords wealthy, even by international standards. What else has it done?

Now think about the “War on Terror” what are the objectives? How do we measure success and failure? When does it end? Who gains and who loses?

not to micro manage here but with this situation and others like it.....i think the problem is with the TSA and not the whole war on terror thing. these tsa people are not the most competent in the world. we need to do something about them.

From the article, it was the Customs office who was doing it after arriving from an international flight.
