Chief Dick
Well, I have a window unit at the office I could use, but I'm too lazy to go get it. This will be one of those "life lessons" to toughen the little bugger up.

I thought of this, but my house is very well shaded, and after about 7:30 it gets pretty cool in here. Meaning, by the time he goes to bed, the internal temp of the house is below 80. And his room has great ventilation, so we should be fine.

montster
happened to me once, during an arizona summer. the wife was out of town, the a/c broke down on a friday and no one could come till monday. i slept on wet pillowcases that i re-dampened every few hours during the night. that was an awful weekend. i don't envy you, but at least it gets cool there at night. jaxfactor
Now you know how we Floridians feel when the power goes out. The humidity is absolutely horrid down here. Most people don't think of that when they talk of hurricane near misses. It happened 2 years ago. First hurricane lost power for only a few hours. Second one we lost power for 2 days. It was so freekin' hot I couldn't sleep so I spent one night in my truck with the AC on. Used some gas but I was comfortable. I feel for ya CD! MikesVikes
So do you believe in global warming now? You guys sound like a bunch of wimps! When I was young, we didn't have any air conditioning at home. We worked outside in the hot sun all day long. We also worked outside all day long when it was 20 below zero. This is why I tolerate you guys around here to this day. Edited July 2, 2006 by MikesVikes
