bushwacked
I'm not familair with the early days of VH1. I remember hearing it was adult contemporary type stuff. For a few years in the late 90's and early 2000's that had some quality shows. Intriguing, pure, quality insight on the music industry. Now it's pure crap. The still put out a good indepth documentary and all........like one every 2 years. It basically turned into the E channel. The stupid countdowns they have with directors writing horrible comedy for these lamos is as processed as a McDonalds hamburger. Does anyone actually think that these stupid jokes that these lame a$$es make are their own comedy. Horrible. We are turning into an American Idol nation. AtomicCEO
I saw a commercial last night for "Supergroup"... a reality show where Sebastian Back, Scott Ian, Evan Seinfeld, Jason Bonham, and Ted Nugent form a band. I must say... I'm interested, if only for Scott Ian and Ted Nugent.
rajncajn
Same as MTV, they found something that got ratings for them & went overkill.
Ursa Majoris
Same as MTV, they found something that got ratings for them & went overkill. Bingo. No-one ever got poor by pandering to the lowest common denominator. The worse the rubbish you put on TV, the bigger the audience.
rajncajn
The bad thing is I think the reason their ratings went up is because of the crap MTV was/is producing. Now VH1 is getting just as bad.

Words to live by. This is why we have Britteny Spears, Jessica Simpson, Bud Light, The Washington Redskins and the NBA.
