wildcat2334
Damn, passed by a Texan, and a wannabe Texan right on my heels - have a feeling this will be very close thru the Main Event

This will end up coming down to the "oddball" players that each guy picked. For example, I need Joe Cassidy, David Chiu, or Chad Brown to get to a final table or two. Since everyone probably has at least 10-12 common players on their team, it will be settled by the less popular picks.
Perchoutofwater
Damn, passed by a Texan, and a wannabe Texan right on my heels - have a feeling this will be very close thru the Main Event There is a reason that the most popular game on the scene right now is called Texas Hold'em

While that would help, I think it will come down to the ranking of players and getting high ranked players with multiple high finishes. We will see that the 2nd by Hellmuth will be big, and if he has a strong WSOP run then the few people that have him 2-6 will end up on the higher end of the spectrum. True, I need Juanda and Mizrachi to give me some high finishes too, as they are my #1 and #2 ranked players.

Mizrachi would be bigger as less people have him ranked in their top 5... several have Juanda in that range so he would provide less of an advantage to you
muck
Can you give an "average ranking" of all players? Meaning, give a guy 20 points for being ranked 1st (like I have Negreanu, I believe) to see which players are viewed, collectively, as the biggest outliers. For me, I think that Barry Greenstein doing well will help me a TON vs. others (iirc, he's my #3 or #4); for others, it may be Annie Duke, Jennifer Harman, Johnny Chan or Dan Harrington. ...anyhow, just curious... Let me see if I hae time ot do this.. I would like to go through and count up how many teams wach guy is on, etc., just havent had a chance... depending on when I get home tonight (have a family function), I amy tru put some time into it.. if not, then perhaps tomorrow evening once wife and son get to bed and I have a few moments to myself to actually do something like that
muck
Just curious to see, for example, how much I need to root for Barry Greenstein, TJ Cloutier, Todd Brunson and Dan Harrington (as I think those four guys are probably the guys least mentioned by others) vs. the guys who are at the top of everyone elses roster, but not mine.
