wiegie
I want to watch the Cardinals play today, but the game is not being shown by my local Fox affiliate. I have a subscription to MLB.tv, but the game is blacked out today because it is one of Fox's games of the week. I know that the games are not blacked out for people accessing the internet from outside of North America, so I could potentially use a proxy server in a foreign country to get access to the game. Two questions: 1) Is it easy to do this? 2) Is it risky to do this? (from a protect my home network point of view) Thanks in advance for any help you guys might have to offer. Nah, not hard to do...you just need the DNS or IP address of the proxy server you want to use plus the port. Once you have that info you just go in and click the box for proxy server in your Tools/Connections/Lan settings in your internet browser. Input your name/IP/port and then close your browser and reopen it...as for security, it will still go through whatever firewall/AVfilter you have in place.
