I know BC has been big on telling Huddlers to stay away from high fructose corn syrup...so it is processed different and they use enzymes to help produce it...and in a lab study mice didn't react to it very well as opposed to sucrose...what else ya got? Skippy
I honestly thought this was old news but if you really read your lables you will be shocked at how many foods this crap is in.

dmarc117
partially hydrogenated oils When eating out, avoid deep-fried foods at all costs, and pretend you're allergic to wheat. (When you avoid wheat you stay away from both partially hydrogenated oils and high fructose corn syrup--another deadly ingredient in the American food supply that has long been illegal in Canada and Europe. and i thought wheat products were good for you..... DMD
As someone who is allergic to corn syrup, I can tell you that it is in almost every processed food there is. Even where you would never thing about it. It is the sweetner of choice by manufacturers and you pretty much cannot avoid it unless you eat only meat and vegetables. cre8tiff
As someone who is allergic to corn syrup, I can tell you that it is in almost every processed food there is. Even where you would never thing about it. It is the sweetner of choice by manufacturers and you pretty much cannot avoid it unless you eat only meat and vegetables. Even domestic Beers are brewed with corn syrup... My Father-in-law has a severe corn allergy, and man alive he has to pay through the nose at places like Whole Foods and the ilk just for staples.... 10g_DBA
Skins made me aware of this book. If you want to know about the quality of America's food supply, you'll find this interesting and eye-opening. 90% of what's in the supermarket is crap. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/159420082...glance&n=283155
godtomsatan
Get rid of corn subsidies, and you get rid of the incentive of corn producers to make the product and create a demand for it. In addition to creating giant tubs o' lard out of the people in this country.
CaP'N GRuNGe
Once all the corn is focused towards ethanol production, we won't have any for our food anymore.
CaP'N GRuNGe
You gotta guess the syrup is bad for you when the corn itself just goes right through and your body isn't even able to digest it properly.
Avernus
I have syrup every day with my waffles...horrible news... but umm another thing that is bad....fluoride.... why this is an ingredient you actually put in your mouth to begin with is f'n crazy.....it's pretty much poison....and on that note....avoid Evian water bottles because they put fluoride in their water....
