cliaz
Has anyone been watching this series? It's pretty freaking sweet. If you haven't you should. It follow the american revolution war from start to finish and I'll be honest I've learned a lot that I didn't know before. We all knew George Washington was the man but after watching this series I have a new found respect for him. He was one bad a$$ general and didn't take sh1t from anyone. Not only that but he had no problems was so ever about being out infront of his army with snipers taking shots at him. Last night they covered the winter at valley forge and the Prussian general who came in and help Washington train his troops to fight like the European military. Good series. The Holy Roller
I teach this part of American history to 7th graders. Another great video series is A&E's six parter. Tells a lot about Washington's person. One of my favorite lines about him was..."He could curse the paint off a wall." Washington was a man's man, no doubt. In my opinion, the greatest American yet. Last night when that General Lee (can't remember his first name but he was the general that had the two dogs and was captured by the british the year prior.) didn't engaged the British and his 5,000 troops were retreating, washing rode up to Lee and said something to him but it wasn't documented because it was kind of a standing law that when Washington Cursed, whatever he said was not to be documented. So no one really knows what he said to Lee. Awesome series. I really wish I was a history teacher. I love history.

Clubfoothead
I started to watch it but it seemed more like a TV show than the way they normally do stuff. I'll give it a second try.
Chargerz
The Revolution is a good series. The one on Washington himself was also good and covered much of the same material. The History Channel is one of my favorites. Edited July 10, 2006 by Chargerz

That was uber excellent. I like that style of show, The Revolution, seemed like it was actors playing parts with very little narration. I like Wasington: Warrior style documentaries better. But I'm pretty lame also.
