If any of you do, it might be fun to state your records and par at the course you did it at.

im not that good, but i like to go for fun. my best is a 24 and the course par is a 28 i believe (only 9 holes, with one hole being a par 4). eventually i'd like to head out to another course, but unfortunately there aren't any close by.

First of all - it is called disc golf. We have three courses here in town that we play. My wife and I played a lot before the baby was born last summer. Jast last week, we went out for the first time with the baby in the stroller. He loved it.

If you are looking for courses near you or courses where you might be travelling, check at the PDGA website. Yes, that is the Professional Disc Golf Association. PDGA Course Directory

As far as scoring goes, I am very average. I usually shoot in the 60s. To be competitive in the leagues around here, you have to be in the low 50s for 18 holes. It is a very fun and underrated sport.

there is one 4 miles from me- 23 holes! it probably would be fun to give it a try- how does it work? BYOF or do you rent the discs and pay greens fees, etc.?

no, you just buy your discs, which decent ones cost just $8, and they are public courses, no fees. maybe the really good and professional ones might have a fee, but i just know of the public ones.

I've played before. It's pretty fun. I lived in Japan for about 3 and a half years back in the late 90s. I actually won a local tournament there (by luck, no doubt) that I played in. Can't remmeber what my score was but I got this big winners certificate written all in Japanese as a souvenier and a new "driver" disc as the prize. Rather amusing.

My dad opened a waterslide and frisbie disc golf course in about 1981. It went under in just a few years ...

The stories are both sad and hilarious ...

We used to insulate our basement with water-sldie mats. We had about 15 boxes of frisbies with "Wet Willies" printed on them. His license plate said "Splash". We got sued by a drunk redneck who fell off some bleachers. The insurance company went under. I recall taking a family vacation to his trailor park to deliver a settlement check ...

Ah, good times ...

I used to play often at Bradley Park in Peoria, IL. It used to be ranked either nationally or regionally, but they re-did it a few years ago and I don't live there anymore. Anyhow, I used to average 15 under on the 18 hole course. My best was 23 under par. I have a side-arm delivery.

There is a wiiiiiide variety of courses around Cincy. Its a good time - very cheap entertainment. Many county parks have them and the yearly pass is $5 for all the parks. LOL. Discs run $8 to $12. I've found them at Dick's Sporting Goods. The "hole" is a metal basket.

Best score : Shot 9 under - a 45 on a 18 hole par 54 course. I regularly score around 50 on that one. Best I've seen there is 15 under.

I throw a Cheetah driver and a Stratus for short range/putting. My usual drive is around 330 feet. Best drive ever was about 390.

i imagine there is a correlation between frolf and libs

Why does it seem like it's the Republitards that always bring politics into a non-political discussion? Dude, you need to get laid more.

Huh, maybe it's cuz the Libs know how to have fun? Wait, no H8 is a fun-lovin' cat... that doesn't jive.

I didn't know, either.

Here's a manu of the discs. They sell different discs for different shots and a "golf" bag. Note the picture of the bag..... is that a beer? :D
