100's of Lebanese civilians dead vs. 15 or so Israeli.

Seems a bit lopsided to get outraged at the deaths of Israelis.

I blame organized religion. Us realists must now do everything to take down the Jews, Catholics, Muslims and Christians. You crazy God-fearing do-righters peace-lovers are really ruining it for the rest of us. Your God(s) would be proud of your actions.

Because it was Hezbolla that started all this crap, and the Lebonese weren't willing to eradicate them, but rather elected them to office.

How are the Lebanese supposed to "eradicate" them, particularly the women and children?

Israel occupied the country for 18 years and they couldn't do it.

And are you saying that the citizenry should be held accountable for the actions of their elected leaders?

In this case I woud say the citizenry should be held accountable for their elected leaders. That does not hold true in all cases, but everyone knew what Hezbolla was, and what their goals were.

Well, Hezbollah has 23 of the 128 seats in Parliament and a few more by participating in voting blocs it forms with others.

I don't think that the Lebanese government has participated in anti-Israeli activity.

So Lebanese people, who have no control over Hezbollah and who did not vote Hezbollah into parliament are dying. They are just as innocent as the Israeli dead.

I still don't understand how they could "eradicate" Hezbollah. Please explain.

cripes, you sound dumber than lulu sometimes. first of all, do you have anything backing up your claim that "1,000" innocent lebanese civilians have been killed by israel in the last several days? obviously, israel isn't targeting lebanese civilians, but if the terrorists firing hundreds if not thousands of rockets indiscriminately at israeli cities (i.e., where civilians live) are going to hide behind innocent lebanese civilians, what exactly would you have israel do? the israeli's are using smart bombs carefully targeted on hezbollah sites. hezbollah terrorists shoot rockets at israeli civilians. and you want to slam ISRAEL for its disproportionate response? that is sickening.

now as far as the lebanese people and government...the bottom line is that they have allowed hezbollah to operate with impunity, totally unchecked, within their territory. you allow terrorists to come into your country, set up paramilitary bases and hundreds of rocket installations aimed directly at israel, and essentially allow them to set up their own pseudo-state in the southern half of your country...well then i'm sorry, but you run great risk of having a lot of your bridges and buildings and chit blown up when those terrorists decide to start some major chit.

it's idiots like you providing rhetorical cover to these rabid anti-jew terrorists when they hide behind "innocent civilians" that has allowed the mid-east situation to get this bad to begin with. somehow israel is supposed to exercise all this "restraint" and "moderation", and give palestine and lebanon all this land that, as soon as they have it, they can shrug and look the other way and let hamas and hezbollah come right on through and launch attacks israel. and then when israel responds..."hey, why do you neocon zionist warmongers hate peace so much :D". what a f'n crock. i'm not saying there aren't majority elements in lebanese population and government, and in those of the palestinian territories for that matter, that don't genuinely WANT peace and coexistence with israel. but if they can't keep hamas and hezbollah in check, what the f8ck is israel supposed to do?

Show me where I said that "1,000 innocent lebanese civilians have been killed by israel in the last several days." Show me where I accuse Israel of targeting civilians. Show me where I "slam" Israel for a disproportionate response.

Innocent people are dying on both sides. More innocent Lebanese are being killed and wounded than Israelis. My reply was to some what's his name that got all bent out of shape because 2 Israeli children were killed.

Really Az, your reading comprehension skills have deteriorated such that I suspect that your 11 year-old brother has stolen your password again. The name calling kind of cements it. Actually, given the drama and near hysterics in your response, it is likely your sister.

Keep those kids in check. Next thing you know, they'll be grabbing your credit cards and charging them right up to those $500 limits.

my bad, you said hundreds.

Show me where I accuse Israel of targeting civilians.

when did i say you accused them of targeting civilians? i asked the following question, "obviously, israel isn't targeting lebanese civilians, but if the terrorists firing hundreds if not thousands of rockets indiscriminately at israeli cities (i.e., where civilians live) are going to hide behind innocent lebanese civilians, what exactly would you have israel do?" dumb ass.

umm, ok, you tell me what you're getting at when you measure up the number of israeli dead versus lebanese dead. are you NOT trying to convey a sense of "disproportion" that tries feebly to accuse the israelis of being whiners for not wanting rockets fired into their cities?

Um....wasn't Syria running Lebanon until a few months ago? Or at least the whole of southern Lebanon? Which is where the terrorists are? Blaming the new Lebanese fledgling government for Hezbollah is similar to blaming the Iraqi government for their terrorists - neither government has control over all it's sovereign territory.
