alexgaddis
True story. I get married to my wife who is absolutely wonderful in every way possible. We've been married about a year I would guess. For whatever reason, we were talking and the subject of Playboy came up and she said she didn't care if I had them or not. She said her father had them from time to time when she was growing up and they are "no big deal". I feel assured that I have truly married a wonderful woman. She has very deep swedish roots, so I was not surprised what with the Bikini girls and all. Maybe a month or two goes by and there was something in Playboy that was topical that I actually wanted to read. So I buy one, read whatever article there was while of course admiring other sections of the magazine as was intended by the publisher. Thinking that I had best be open about owning said magazine, I left it out on my desk intentionally despite my normal make inclination to hide it and be safe. Next day I am watching TV and the following takes place: Me: "... man this Cheers show is funny. Honeybunch! Come watch what Norm and Cliff are doing!" Wife appears in the doorway holding something in her hand. She just stands there glaring at me. Me: " um... sorry about the toilet seat?" She: "So. Do you want to do her?" Me: "... excuse me. What?" She: "Do you want to do her?" Me: " Do I want to do what to who? What? Who? What? What?" She: "I found THIS on your desk" Magazine is cast at me, unfortunately flapping open with the centerfold showing when it hits my lap. I slowly close the magazine while my mind races like a mouse getting chased by a cat in a room with no exits. Me: " Oh yeah. It had an article I wanted to read. You said it was okay to buy Playboy. I really remember that. It was just a day or two ago. Really." She: " So did you look at the pictures?" Me: " Well I, uh, sure. I bought the whole magazine so I scanned through all of it. Of course. There were pictures. " She: "Did you find one you want to do or do you just want to do all of them?" Deep breath.... thinking... thinking... I got nothing. Me: " Of course not. Before we proceed, I would like to revert back to the discussion where you said it was okay for me to purchase a Playboy. I was there. You said it. Really." She: " But that was before you bought one, wasn't it? Wasn't it?" This is when I realize why I never went into law. And that no woman is going to follow the rational track of a male. Me: " Yes. It was before. Because I, because you... the magazine is just... but you... I am totally lost here... I'm sorry??" She just stands there looking at me. As males, we try to analyze situations to figure them out and explain what is happening. This is something that we keep to ourselves after being married for a while. Being that I was only married about a year, I then committed a cardinal sin. Me: " Okay. I get it. You're menstrating, right?" Bottom line - it took about a day to get past that and I have never bought one since. She later said she was not aware that it would be a problem to her until she saw that I had one. I just figure it is safer to not temp fate again. so then, am I to assume you haven't viewed pron since then? Or just keep it from the wife... BiggieFries
My wife HATES it! Under no circumstances is it acceptible to her. Not even strippers. Now, take this attitude and project it onto someone who worked for a porn company...that was a fun year!
Azazello1313
What can I say, she sees a distinction between pron and strip clubs. But I think the big factor is that when I go to a strip club, it's for a purpose (usually celebrating someone getting married, or getting ready to have kid, or some other positive event). Sitting around alone, jerking off to what see perceives to be legally sanctioned sexual abuse, doesn't resonate quite as well with her modern notions of feminism. sounds to me like the distinction is less about the girls and more about why and, you know, how you're taking it in. which makes sense, because, like club said, chicks go into porn and into stripping for many of the same reasons. and don't most porn stars also strip? and how many strippers, if you waved jenna jameson money at them, wouldn't do porn? don't a very high percentage of strippers end up turning tricks? if anything, i'd say your average stripper is far more "oppressed" and taken advantage of than your average porn star, if only because she makes less money. twiley
Me: " Okay. I get it. You're menstrating, right?" That's ripped right out of the twiley handbook. Great line. Another one that landed me on the couch was, "Well, it's not going to suck itself."

Yeah, the social aspect of going a strip club with the guys is an ritual she gets and supports, thankfully. Regarding the oppression factor, you could be right. I honestly don't know. But a lot of pron contains physical, sexual abuse that is absent from your run of the mill strip joint or Playboy mag.

Perchoutofwater
In fact, we have a lot of tasteful naked chick art around the house. Granted, much of it is in celebration of family and fertility. Some of it is even of her. But a lot of her clients are young women who are victims of a wide range sexual abuse, so that has a lot to do with why she views pron differently. yo mama
PM Hey, if naked pregnant chicks and black and whites of breastfeeding are your thing, feel free to swing by the casa for dinner anytime you're in my neck of the woods and you can see it hanging on the wall. But the password protected stuff is going to stay that way.
boat_hacked
Doesn't mind the Playboy, since I showed her it wasn't as raunchy as she thought, but anything beyond PB is pushing it in her presence. This is my wife exactly. Are we married to the same woman? 5'1 Blonde with hazel eyes? Please post a shot of the and I'll confirm if indeed we are married to same lady. Perchoutofwater
No wonder DMD won't let us post links to naked women anymore, his wive grabbed him by the balls while he was looking at them, and told him he was going to have to get a real job if she ever caught him looking at them again. cre8tiff
My wife LOVES pron, and it always turns her on. Boy, did I have to seal the deal the day I found THAT out.
muck
Never really watched any with (or without) my wife. However, when she first started watching reruns of Sex in the City was about when we conceived our third child. I can't imagine what would happen if she was watching a bunch of hard-bodies oil up and slather around. :bshock:
Jimmy Neutron
The Mrs. and I watched a few together, but haven't in a long time as it is frowned upon by our church. Too much guilt factor. Mrs. Neutron has also "taken up the casue" as someone else mentioned about how women tend to be abused in the industry. It is pretty disgusting the way the pron industry chews up young women and spits them out. Now we just make our own.
Hugh B Tool
Have you ever looked at the various sexual position books?. Women of all sorts love them. Better than pron in many aspects, no female brutality etc. Get them started on that, sharing it with you. Next purchase them the "panty of the month club". Each month she gets to model her new present for you. Next thing you know the cameras are rolling and you are making your own pron. Brilliant!!!! montster
the wife is cool with it. she doesn't mind my playboy subscription, which i've had since we were dating. in fact, she reads an article or two in it most months. i'm pretty sure she assumes i look at porn, but she doesn't ask. a few years ago when we were in vegas we went to a strip club together because she wanted to see what it was like. she commented on which ones had bad boob jobs, ugly shoes or cellulite, and then laughed and said, "i'm sorry, i'm totally ruining this for you, aren't i?" i said, "sorry, did you say something?" Cunning Linguist
My wife has bought us dvd's, mags, books and has a nice collection of toys. We're both into it, me much more with the computer than her, but she knows i "browse" and doesn't care. Most of the time i get razzed about it. Every girl i've been with since i was 17 has been open to pron. I guess i didnt know that many women were so uptight NTTAWWT... Besides, its just a healthy fantasy, i wouldn't want anyone else. Our thing is, we can both look at the menu, just can't order anything up
Puddy
We've watched a few together during our many years together. However, she has NEVER initiated the idea. It's actually a little uncomfortable watching them together because I don't think she really likes it. So we spend the whole time making fun of the dialogue and acting
