Reanimator was some sick sh*t! But I still have to go with The Exorcist and The Omen. I haven't seen the new Omen yet and will probably wait for its video release. But anything with the devil involved gets me almost every time. Horror movies nowadays just don't cut it for me. Nothing is ever scary enough, although the very beginning of The Ring scared the p*ss out of me.

The Omen was a very groovy horror flick but it really screwed with life for those of us named Damien. :D

Good time to, er, "resurrect" this thread, I think...

Undead started out promising but went in the tank quickly. Not even good for camp quality.

Yeah, that movie left me cold, though I thought the lead chick was kinda hot.

I wouldn't say that I'm a "fan", but I enjoy a good horror flick from time to time. I really enjoyed the Scream series. Saw 1 is a hugh amount of fun. 2 not so much.

When I watch the old Halloween, Nightmare, or Friday 13th movies now, I think they are funny.

Ever notice how similiar the word horror and the word whore sound? Any good horror whore movies out there? :D

I wouldn't consider it horror but Sin City had some whores who were eaten then their heads mounted. I just watched this last night after setting up my new dvd player. Great picture visuals wise. The wife absolutely hated it.

I should be getting Feast from Netflix tomorrow. Anyone seen this?

I want to see Descent and Feast the project greenlight flick. Devil's Rejects was cool as hell.

Night of the Creeps is a solid horror film.

Maybe what I was drinking/smoking at the time (college ski trip in Vail, so maybe the altitude too!) magnified the effect, but Nightmare on Elm Street made me swear off horror flicks. After scaring the bejeezus out of me. So I guess it gets my best/worst award at the same time.

Before that, I really dug the original Halloween, with Jamie Lee....

Descent was top notch - the claustrophobia makes you pretty uneasy even before the sh*t really hits the fan

Feast was great fun - not a great movie, but highly entertaining, and the kid who made it really went balls to the wall, it lives up to the credo that anyone can die at anytime.

And if you liked Night of the Creeps, Slither is a pretty fun take on that sort of "space-slug" story.

Also, I saw Wolf Creek, which has a Hostel vibe to it and is unsettling as all hell.

Hard Candy may or may not be considered outright "horror", but it's a great premise and really keeps you on your toes - two people, and you're never quite sure which one is really the "monster."

Feast is out? What was it... straight to video?

That was the last hope of Project Greenlight, and I had high hopes for it, but the Weinsteins split from Miramax doomed it to the shelves for a year after the hype was highest. I was determined to see it in the theatres to support the cause, and this is the first I've heard that it's even released. :D

They did a one-weekend release as a midnight movie and then dumped it straight to video.

It's not Citizen Kane, but with its reasonable budget I'd have been surprised if a theatrical release would've been unprofitable.
