Ursa Majoris
My first reaction is that he's a crappy sniper.
wiegie
my second reaction is that maybe Sac can use that guy's wall-thru air-conditioner.
Retrograde assault
New strategy, Special Forces guy pose as photographers. Say cheese, muthaOpraher. Beautiful! And after a couple sand crabs get wacked they would stop with the free propaganda ride for journalists.
Jimmy Neutron
It reminds me what an awful situation our troops are in. Yeah, the guy is ill-equipped, but he and guys like him could be lurking in any home or business in Iraq.

Not so much ill equipped (I think that's a Belgian FN rifle, 7.62 and extremely hard hitting) as ill trained. His positioning is all wrong. Jimmy Neutron
Not so much ill equipped (I think that's a Belgian FN rifle, 7.62 and extremely hard hitting) as ill trained. His positioning is all wrong. His rifle will certainly do the job, but it's a far cry from a modern sniper rifle. The 7.62 does pack a whallop, especially when compared to our anemic 5.56 pea shooters our guys are packing in the M-4 and M-16. Have you seen the new .300 magnums the marine snipers are using? Some of those guys are shooting one hole groups @ 500 yards. I need one. That, and a Barret .50 sniper rifle. That'd just be fun. Edit to add: here's a little tidbit on rifle caliber effectiveness from one of my favorite web sites: The Box O' Truth. Sounds like you know your stuff, Jim - I've always understood that an ideal sniper rifle should not auto-reload, as the FN does. The recoil should be directly to the rear, rather than upwards as per the FN, but I only know the rudiments of sniping, by no means an expert. Thoughts? Hugh B Tool
My initial reaction is that if we did the right job the first time and then again when we had another chance the whole place would be a friggin' parking lot and we wouldn't have to worry about crap like this. Just like Nam this shows the hugh irony of this so called war Dub and his boys have got us into
