kpholmes
Well NCAA 2007 is finally here. Anyone go get it at midnight? I'll be picking my copy up from EB games at 10 am for the 360. Finally something to tide me over for a bit until the season starts... For those who have played it, what are your thoughts so far?
Perchoutofwater
I'll be waiting for the PS3 to come out before I purchase anymore games. The wife has promised to get me one as soon as they come out. Speaking of which, has there been any updates as to when they are coming out?

Menudo
Have a copy reserved for me at EB Games. Will be picking it up after work today.
wirehairman
My wife will be picking up my copy right after work as she gets it for me as our anniversary gift every July. I've already got my memory card with the rosters preordered, so it will hopefully be here by tomorrow. I should be in full NCAA frenzy by this weekend. Goopster24
I'm playing right now. The graphics are awesome and the game interface is great. It's gonna take some getting use to, the controls that is, but I'm gonna be obbessed for a while....
Goopster24
The defensive controls are really different. I think it's kinda annoying how you can't cycle back to a player once you go past him before the snap; there is only one button to cycle and it goes one way. kpholmes
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh man! Just finished my first game on the 360, started a Dynasty with my Cal Team and spanked the Voulunteers 20-7. This game is amazing. There has been a lot of bashing on the 360 version about how it has less features than the normal x-box, but all it's really missing is the Race for the Heisman mode and percision passing. But there is some definete cool stuff here to play with. Also, as Goop mentioned the controls are different then Madden/NCAA for the normal Xbox, however they are still the same as Madden on the 360. Takes a game or two to get used to if you haven't played on it yet... but now, the Game! First off, the momentum system is huge. And very realistic. It is displayed by a meter at the bottom of the screen with away team and home team right next to eachother, then four grey bars next to each. If you make a big play or do something to change momentum, you will get a bar next to your team. I drove the ball down to their 5 yard line, then my QB fumbled and they ran it back for a TD. I lost 2 bars and they gained 3 on theirs, and the whole next drive my plays were sloppy; recievers dropping passes, missed blocks, bad throws, etc... but after afew first downs I started to take away their momentum and my players started to step up again. Also the offensive hit stick is a lot different now, rather than it be a truck move its more of just a plyer specail. Whether it be a sidestep, or a stiff arm, or throw the player to the ground, really its whatever move you need for that idea situation. And yes, you can still jump the pile in necessary situations. (3rd and short, 4th and short, goaline) As I was messing around with create a player I noticed another little goodie that EA added for us real fanatics. A much much more in depth stat system for players. Now there are individual catagories for Spin Move, Juke Move, Elusivness, Man Coverage, Zone Coverage and a ton more I don't even remember. This is going to be a lot of fun playing around with. Also taking snapshots of key moments is a lot of fun. You can go into instant replay and get exactly the angle you want on whatever moment and take a snapshot of it. Obveously no huge moments in my season opener, but was still a lot of fun to play around with. Right now, I am way stoked and am going to continue my Dynasty for the day. Just thought I would give everyone an update, and despite the 360 bashing, I'm very impressed with game features and especially graphics. I'm not playing on an HD TV currently because it broke, but even on a regular TV... this game is mind blowing. Thank you EA for finally moving in the right direction! Ziachild007
Picked my copy up today (PS2) after work. Setting my Texas Tech roster up right now, but I am gonna start a dynasty here in a bit. If anyone has the rosters and wants to make a little coin for copying them lemme know.
loyalboyd
My wife is going to get it for my birthday. But I'm not sure if I can hold off that long now. Edit I'm just getting it for XBOX 360 though. But will get Madden on both. But not sure about PS2 Madden since PS3 so close. Goopster24
Playing defense takes a while to get used to. The graphics and interface are pretty sweet once you play for some time. I just started a dynasty with Army; hopefully I will get a sweet job offer after my first year. I've heard dynasty mode is quite different from the 360 version to the old Xbox version? Can anybody confirm that?

Have only had a chance to play a couple of games but like it so far. Only being able to cycle through defensive players one way is kinda frustrating, though. hepcat71
I guess I'm gonna have to go buy a game system (I assume this won't work on the old N64 I never use - or will it?). I found out yesterday that one of my late nephew's best friends is starting for Texas as a freshman(!) His brother told me he was going crazy when he found out. This would be Sergio Kindle, from Woodrow Wilson in Dallas .... he was rated the the #2 player in the country on the final Rivals 100 recruiting list last year. He enrolled at Texas for the spring semester and stands a very good chance of starting at OLB, if not from Game 1, then at least by midseason. So, blitz Sergio early and often. And you can also insert Serg at RB (2500 yds. rushing/28 TDs last year). It looks like he may also be the goal-line back for the Longhorns this year, maybe more. He's a great kid, 6'-4", 240 lbs. of solid muscle, 4.51 in the 40 (and workin' like H to get into 4.4). I'm proud to know him. Give 'em H, Big Serg!
