broncosn05
it doesn't get 105 in telluride. if it's 100 here, it's probably a good 20 degrees cooler there. it would be dumb to have AC up there. in denver though, a lot of houses and apartments still don't have it. thankfully, mine does. How can people survive with no AC. I think I've hit 5 movies in the last 2 weeks
i_am_the_swammi
I walk around in the summertime saying "How 'bout this heat!" I love asking people "Hot enough for ya'?"....always a dik in the crowd BTW, 99, with a 103 heat index, just outside Valley Forge...if Washington would have camped here in the summer instead of the winter, he would have said "fug it", we'd have lost the war, and we'd now be chatting about fantasy soccer! irish
101 in Philly and humid! Same here in Jersey and I hate the heat. Hell my pool water is 90 degrees! I'm a cold weather guy. Cold, snow, 20 degrees sounds about right.

No one asked him to join the military and go fight in the heat. Don't get me wrong I'm very appreciative of what our armed forces do to ensure our freedom. But we all have decisions to make. Mine might be to move to Alaska.

I Like Soup
There is very little humidity in Phoenix. 110 there is on par with 90 in Dallas. 17% humidity here in Phoenix, but the heat index is still 109 degrees. On the other hand, it is 105 in the DFW area with 24% humidity for a heat index of 106. :stickingtongueout: But...I will say, I lived in the DFW area for 4 years and Austin for 4 years,...and I find the heat much more bearable here. Low 100's and 80-90% humidity in Texas...absolutely brutal.

Rebellab
117 on Saturday, that was an all time record for Pierre. Today 102. I think we have his 100's 6 times in the last two weeks. There is no grass for the cattle, the wheat harvest was nothing, and sunflowers and corn are burning up as we speak. The wind is also blowing 30 mph. I talked to an older lady the yesterday, she was born in 1924. She said the dirty 30's were much worse than this. I cannot image anything worse than this summer in central South Dakota.
