Think about this: If you don't want to forward this for fear of offending someone-----YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM !!!!

Will we still be the Country of choice and still be America if we continue to make the changes forced on us by the people from other countries that came to live in America because it is the Country of Choice??????

Think about it!

All we have to say is, when will they do something about MY RIGHTS?

I celebrate Christmas...........but because it isn't celebrated by everyone..............we can no longer say Merry Christmas. Now it has to be Season's Greetings.

It's not Christmas vacation, it's Winter Break. Isn't it amazing how this winter break ALWAYS occurs over the Christmas holiday?

We've gone so far the other way, bent over backwards to not offend anyone, that I am now being offended. But it seems that no one has a problem with that.

This says it all!

This is an editorial written by an

American citizen, published in a

Tampa newspaper. He did quite a job; didn't he? Read on, please!

IMMIGRANTS,

NOT AMERICANS,

MUST ADAPT.

I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we

are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11,

we have experienced a surge

in patriotism by the majority

of Americans. However...... the dust from the attacks had

barely settled when the "politically correct! " crowd began complaining about

the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to ! America.

Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants.

However, there

are a few things that those

who have recently come to

our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.

This idea of America being a

multicultural community

has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans......

we have our own culture, our

own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language.

Therefore, if you wish to become part

of our society, learn the language!

"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan.. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women.......on Christian principles.............

founded this nation..... and this is clearly documented.

It is certainly appropriate to display it

on the walls of our schools.

If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as

your new home.........because

God is part of our culture.

If Stars and Stripes offend you, or

you don't like Uncle Sam, then you

should seriously consider a move

to another part of this planet.

We

are happy with our culture and have

no desire to change, and we really

don't care how you did things where

you came from.

This is

OUR COUNTRY,

our land, and our lifestyle.

Our First Amendment gives every citizen the

right to express his opinion and we

will allow you every opportunity to do so!

But once you are done complaining....... whining...... and griping....... about our flag.......

our pledge...... our national motto........or our

way of life....I highly encourage you to

take advantage of one other Great American Freedom.......

THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

I here Lebanon is nice this time of year. :D

I think we've seen this before....

God in sayings and as part of our heritage, I have no problem with. Just don't tell me how I have to live my life according to your God according to our country's laws.

front row, you are wacking out.

we have freedom of religion because we are not a nation of christians. our founders created that freedom.

i'm amazed at the number of people who have come here and have learned to speak rather fluent english. do you get out much? add to that the people in the many foreign countries to which i travel where they speak english there too.

i'm not aware of any great campaigns against our flag, other than the moranic debate about whether it is ok to burn it or not.

outside of those three areas, your entire lengthy post actually says nothing at all.

you are better than this.

I guess we got rid of "E Pluribus Unum" as our national motto because it was in a foreign language.

I disagree that the entire post says nothing, this is a popular school of thought and it comes from somewhere. I think for some it's hard to deal with certain things being forced out, like prayer in school, and changing the pledge of allegiance or cities not being able to put up a manger scene. I can understand why some of the changes are made but I can also see why it leaves a bad taste in some people's mouth.

And call me H8 but I do agree that there should be some sort of assimilation to our culture if you want to join our ranks. I grew up in Detroit and now live about 10 minutes South of the city, and between the Mexican population there and the Arabic population in Dearborn (which is about 15 minutes away from me) I think learning the language (and how to drive) would be a nice step in the right direction for them.

Actually isn't one of the criteria for citizenship supposed to be learning English :D

i hear you chuck. these are valid topics for debate and discussion, but front's message says this is the way it is and if you don't like it, get out. that's not what america is about. freedom of religion exists to allow everyone to practice how they like, and that doesn't come without a cost. i'm a christian and have no problem with prayer in school, God in the pledge, and public manger displays, but i do understand if it could bother/offend others. so i don't get all worked up about it if these things come under fire outside of my home. we pray in our home, we have mangers in the house at christmas, and most kids don't even know what they are saying when they say the pledge. there are other more important issues to talk about and invest our emotion in ...

as much as skins grates on my nerves, the article he published does have some merit. the problem with conservatism today is that it gets all wrankled up in these non-issues that it takes the focus off where it should be - the economy, foreign policy, health care, etc. there are very real conservative approaches to these real issues that our party is supposed to stand for that are being trashed by this administration. blowing out these kinds of messages that are supposedly representing republicans and conservatism only make the problem worse ...

and no, skinflute, this does not mean that i'm all of a sudden for gay marriage ...

edited to add: and, as perch added, this tactic is used by both political parties.
