cliaz
http://www.theshadowchronicles.com/trailer.php I was in 5th grade when robotech came out and was hooked as a kid. I still to this day love the series and just got a stiffy when i came across this.
The Irish Doggy
Macross was great, the rest was so-so. Voltron and Starblazers were the bomb too.
cre8tiff
I made Voltron toys for Trendmasters. True story.
AtomicCEO
At the risk of sounding like a nerd... I have most of the first 3 TV series on tape. I also got a bootleg of the first 3 episodes of "Macross II", which was a failed pilot from Harmony Gold. And I have the original soundtrack on CD. Oh, and I have a ton of the comic books. And I read the first 18 novels. And I've played through the first PS2 game (Battlecry), but not the second one (Invasion) yet. I actually bought the special collectors edition of Battlecry that came with original artwork, a T-shirt, and a remixed game soundtrack. The RDF patch from that collectors set is hanging on my office door at work. This looks like it's based on the Sentinels series of noves (or comics). I read it when I was like 14, so I can't say for sure... but I remember really enjoying it. There were some great comic-only storylines too. I'd have to dig them out of the basement to remember their names. So... umm... did I end up not sounding like a nerd?
DemonKnight
I loved Robotech! I remember trying like hell to get Baltimore channel 45 in as a kid (before everyone had cable) from No.Va. Macross Plus is one of the best full length animated films ever. Up there with Akira and Ghost in the Shell, imo. I also liked Warhammer at that time. I used to have the sentinels first two episodes on tape I got from a buddy of mine. they only made two though. They said that this series is about them going out and trying to find the SDF3 that is lost. I loved Robotech! I remember trying like hell to get Baltimore channel 45 in as a kid (before everyone had cable) from No.Va. Macross Plus is one of the best full length animated films ever.
