cliaz
For the past 2 weeks i've had something wrong with me (I left myself open on that one.). I had a cramp that started under my left rib, then it moved to under my right rib and now it's in my small of my back and the center of my chest. EKG is clean. Nothing wrong with the heart. Don't know what it is but it could all be related to my back being messed up. When I wake up in the morning I feel fine but as the day unfolds it starts to cramp up and feel annoying. It's not painful, or a burning feeling, but something in between. Yesterday was the worst day for it. Yesterday it was right below my right rib. Now this morning it's dead center of my chest right under that xiphoid process thinging that sticks down. Though it isn't bad today it's still annoying me. Pain killers do not get rid of it. Antiacids don't either. No idea but it figures it shows up right before vacation.

cre8tiff
panic attack? this long? Sure. Panic attacks are a series of episodes. My wife experienced shortness of breath and pains that moved around her body. It related to a situation that was stressing her out. She dealt with the situation and along with a little chemical help, put it behind her. However, she still will get them from time to time in stressful situations. Stress can be a catalyst for a panic attack, but is not the only cause.

My wife had panic attacks. Things were repressed from her childhood. So you may think all is well but there may be something that you are repressing. I am sure the Doc will look into all these things.

Maybe that explains the hole safety dance ring tone. Edited July 20, 2006 by T_bone65

Chargerz
If the pain varies with breathing, make sure your doc checks your lungs (usually an x-ray and maybe breathing into a machine in the office to see how well your lungs are functioning). After that it's difficult to know what your doc will recommend. It will all depend on his exam after that. Let me know what this turns out to be. PM me if needed. jaxfactor
I'm not an expert by any means, but I had this sore throat for months once. I finally went to an ear, nose, and throat specialist and after sticking that tube down my nostril into my throat , he found out it was nothing more than acid reflux. It can show up in numerous places. I drink diet soda like it's going out of style and it produces alot of acid. He prescibed prevacid and presto, problem solved. Hopefully in your case it's something simple as this. Good luck and try not to worry too much about it.
