Selly
Take Selly's quote in a little brokeback light and it takes on a whole new meaning... It took that long for someone to get it. Edited July 21, 2006 by Selly
cre8tiff
Look at this: And this: then tell me Crispin Glover wasn't BORN to play the Joker. I mean, what a no brainer. Edited July 21, 2006 by cre8tiff

TDFFFreak
In that case, consider the source. Besides, just a quick list of some people who've played "gay" onscreen - Robin Williams, Al Pacino, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Dennis Quaid, Ian McKellen (well, he plays gay in real life, too), Dustin Hoffman, Tom Hanks, Christian Bale, Mike Myers....pretty good company, IMO. EDIT: on Michelle Williams, I wouldn't dump my wife for her - but I wouldn't exactly kick her out of the hot tub for eatin' crackers, either. Dog Day Afternoon. Classic. Azazello1313
Why would someone give him "crap"? His performances in The Lords of Dogtown, Monster's Ball and, yes, Brokeback Mountain were all varied and butt-erly convincing.

Azazello1313
Yer a laff riot. seriously, i don't get your ledger love. dogtown was a crappy movie on almost every level. he was ok in brokeback, nothing special. the only other things i can remember seeing him in are crap like knight's tale and the patriot sure he's the "hot thing" right now because hollywood got all twittery over bareback mountin', but i can probably think of a few hundred actors with better resumes than him. Avernus
I mean...I see how he has the look...but he's just not skilled enough for a Nolan movie IMO...

Nolan wouldn't cast him if he didn't show him something during the screening... if you check Nolan's resume for movies....it's quite impressive.... and he's batting almost 1.000 in the Batman Begins movie....except for Katie Holmes... I'm not gonna defend Dogtown, I just think as far as individual perfs go, Ledger's faux Val Kilmer was pretty convincing- and when that style of perf is contrasted with the laconic and terse Ennis del Mar in Brokeback it's pretty impressive range. I could care less as far as "homo cred" goes - Hedwig and the Angry Inch is top 5 all-time for me, but I know you can vouch I don't pimp John Cameron Mitchell for whatever role might be "hot"; get your crap together.
