T_bone65
Some of you may remember a post I had made at the end of January about my brother Charlie, well he finally died today of Kidney failure amongst his many other illnesses. He would of been 52 this year and he will be dearly missed by many, he was a great human being. I don't want to go into the details here of his health problems, I am sure BJ will post a link to my previous post. Thanks to all who may of had him in their thoughts and prayers.I am just glad that he called me last sunday to say goodbye, he must of known it is time. I love you Bro and life won't ever be the same without you.

Azazello1313
chit, when i clicked this, i hoped (well, not hoped) that "charlie" was a pet or something, so i could commiserate, since my senegal parrot cecil died this week. but dam, that kind of loss is not even close to being in the same ballpark. very sorry to hear it, t-bone...and best wishes to you and yours. T_bone65
Here is a little background from an old post: My 2nd oldest brother, Charlie, has been very sick for over 20 years and is now in the hospital with pneumonia and lung cancer. He isn't expected to make it out and I am asking for any good thoughts that anyone here may have to go his way. A little background on my brother, he is 51 years old and has had chronic pancreatitus (sp) and chromes disease since he was 27 years old. He had his pancreas removed just over 7 years ago and has been disabled pretty much since. He has had a moriphine pump installed for over 10 years to help him deal with pain he has had to endure. He is an ordained UCC minister and a vietnam vet that was disabled while there also, had his knee cap shattered. He is a graduate of San Diego State University and is the best friend a young brother good of ever asked for. We are an Italian Catholic fanily of 5 boys, 1 brother commited suicide weeks before his 40th b-day 14 years ago. My family all called him Jesus Christ, not only because of him being an ordained minister, because he had very long hair and a long beard. He took me to my first concert, Super Tramp on the Breakfast in America tour. He was also roommates with the drummer from Super Tramp so I got my first trip backstage at my first concert. I also got stoned and drunk for the first time there with him at the age of 13. He worked at a home for troubled youth in Springfield Mass, and my mother would send me there to spend time with him when I was "going through my drug and alcohol problems" at the age of 16. If she only knew that he would just buy me beer and pot and tell me to be careful. I won't extend this out any longer, if any of you have made it this far. I just want to say I love my brother and I will miss him dearly. I know he will meet up with my brother Tom, Mom, Dad, Nana and Papa and will look over me and wait for me to join them. Thanks for any thoughts and I am on my way to Kansas City. Thanks again to all, it is truly appreciated

whomper
Ted, Im so sorry to hear this news. I knew by our conversation last week this was coming and I just want you to know if there is anything I can do feel free to ask. Call me if you need someone to talk to. I consider you a true friend and not just someone I know from the internet. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Peace .
