Goopster24
I already loved Stephen Jackson and even more so now of course. This isn't too surprising though; hats off to Faulk and an unreal career.

skylive5
While I agree the guy is HoF material.... he has been done for about 5 years now. Hate it when athletes hang on longer than is good for them.

Bronco Billy
One of the most regrettable thing about watching a truly spectacular RB like Faulk as his career progresses is that you just don't get to appreciate how great he was until after his career is over. Faulk is currently #3 in NFL history in total yards from scrimmage for RBs with 19154 yds, behind only Emmitt Smith with 21579 yds and Walter Payton with 21264 yds. Faulk is #3 in NFL history in total TDs for RBs with 136, behind only Emmitt Smith with 175 and Marcus Allen with 144. Faulk is #1 in receiving yards in NFL history for RBs with 6875 yds. Faulk is #2 in receptions in NFL history for RBs with 767 recpetions, behind only Larry Centers with 826. Faulk is #6 in rushing TDs in NFL history for RBs with 100, behind only Emmitt Smith, Marcus Allen, Walter Payton, Jim Brown, & John Riggins. Faulk is #5 in receiving TDs in NFL history for RBs with 36, behind Lenny Moore, Billy Cannon, Joe Morrison, & Frank Gifford. Faulk is #9 in rushing yards in NFL history for RBs. Faulk is #6 in touches in NFL hsitory for RBs with 3603, behind only Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, Curtis Martin, & Jerome Bettis. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ One could easily make the argument that Faulk has been the best overall RB, based upon his ability to run, to catch, to score both by ground and by air, and for his longevity & toughness. You just don't see the same names over & over in all the categories above like you do with Faulk - yet when you hear people argue the greatest RB in NFL history, the names that come up are J Brown, B Sanders, W Payton, E Smith (sometimes), OJ Simpson (sometimes), E Dickerson (slightly), but never Faulk. The guy was truly a treat to watch play the game. Not a big guy, but huge desire, huge ability, and huge heart all knitted together. Here's to Marshall: Edited July 21, 2006 by Bronco Billy
