What's up with the NFL Network?

What is wrong with your direct tv? NFL Network is fine.

I'm pissed that Comcast here in Cecil County MD does not carry it. I'm trying to find out if they plan to add it and strongly considering switching to DirecTV if they don't. The only thing that is stopping me is that on Comcast we get the Philly and Baltimore channels, i.e., twice as much football for free than if I got satellite (would only get Baltimore channels). I know Sunday Ticket is an option but that's pricey.

I had NFL Network before I moved to this area and was glued to it all season.

Sunday Ticket is money well spent for any true NFL fan.

Sunday ticket wasn't worth it for me when I got it a few years back. It's just too hard to watch 6-8 games at once. The NFL network and local channel games are sufficient for keeping up with your fantasy teams.

It's attitudes like this that make me want to throw up. Don't you realize more is always better?

The NFL Ticket is the best thing ever. It's like crack but you only have to pay for it once. :D

NFL Sunday Ticket not only carries all the games from Sunday, now on TUES and WED as I recall they show every game over again without any commercials. Just from snap to whistle, over and over and you can see an entire game in about 20 minutes. I deeply love my Sunday Ticket.

On a side note, I just called customer retention and got the NFL Superfan and a HD Tivo for free. (Well I did have to pay shipping and handling of $21.xx) It's being hooked up on friday. I can't wait to watch football in HD this fall!

An HD Tivo for free? Very nice gesture! I have a regular tivo for my std channels <direct tv> and on the same tv an HD reciever which i flip back and forth to when wanting to watch channels in HD and/or when i'm watching games on sunday. I have a 32tv that I bring out on a tv stand for regular channel games on Sundays and keep the HD games on my big screen. I'd love to have one TV box w/ dual output capability. Does this HD TIVO have dual screen capability? IE: Either picture in picture <one picture on each tv, or the ability to plug in an off air antenna to it?

My HD reciever is getting a little sketchy right now so they are sending me a 'refurbed' unit. If for some reason I'm not happy w/ that, I'll rant and rave a bit to get the HD DVR. I'd love to record some of the shows off the HD channels...

Football Network Rocks!

Can't wait till openning kick! I'll be glued to my chair w/ wings and a 32oz of cold brew!

DirectTV is about options and overload for the true NFL fan. It's like an all-you-can-eat buffet of pizza, cheese steaks, hot wings, chilli, pie, ice cream, hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, beer, fried chicken... you get the point.

that is the reply i was looking for. i have cable and am in east texas, so i get the cowboys AND the Texans AND the Saints games for free. also get all the astros and the rangers games. direct tv would cost me more.

Yes, but here in Philly if we get Direct TV we can't watch the Phillies, Flyers, or Sixers because they are on Comcast.

That would be tough for me were I in Philly. However, because I am not, problem solved. (Although I really miss it during football season. :D )
