AFC West WR's vs Steve Smith vs T.O. vs CJ

I am pondering who to take as my no1 WR this upcoming season. Just wondering what everyone thinks... I see the majority merely stating who'd they'd take, but I'd like to try and find out why...

For me the top WR's break down as follows... and my reasoning.

1. Terrell Owens DAL. I don't think this requries a big explanation, other than that he has something to prove once again. And when TO has something to prove, he produces! I'm thinking something like 80 rec, 1400 yards, 14 TD's.

2. Torry Holt STL. Merely based on ease of schedule, durablilty and his past consistent production. Probably outside Marvin Harrison, is the most consistent FF player at the position. 90+ rec, 1300 yards, 10 TD's.

3. Steve Smith CAR. It seems to me that Jake Delhomme locks in on one target, and sticks with that guy all year. 04 it was Smith, 05 Muhammad, and 06 Smith again. I expect another monster season from Smith. 90+ rec, 1400 yards, 10 TD's.

4. Chad Johnson CIN. Yet another candidate for Mr Consistent over the last 3 seasons. My only thing with CJ is Palmer's health. If Cinncy still had the insurance factor in Jon Kitna, I wouldn't be worried at all. I do believe Palmer will recover quickly just as he is stating, I just have questions on how big he'll be when he comes back!

5. Larry Fitz/Anquan Boldin ARI. To me it's a toss up! Fitz was amazing last season, but so was Boldin. In fact Boldin was the better of the 2. He just missed out on some end zone love early on in the season. But Boldin was targetted more, in 2 less games. Either way, I'd love to have one of these guys. Edge will be the only ball buster when this team gets inside the 20... Fitz 90 rec, 1200 yards, 8-9 TD's. Boldin 80 rec, 1200 yards, 7 TD's.

I would love to say that TO would be my first pick as a WR, but I have visions of a possible mid season meltdown if he isn't getting the ball enough, that's why I'd have to give the slight nod to Steve Smith.

1. Steve Smith

2. Terrell Owens

3. Chad Johnson

4. Torry Holt

5. Boldin/Fitzgerald

For what it's worth, it may just be a jilted FF'er from drafting TO high last year and not having him in the stretch run.

Mine would go like this:

1. Smith

2. C Johnson

3. Holt

4. Owens

5. Boldin/Fitz

Owens is a head case so I don't think the upside is worth the potential, although unlikely this season, meltdown. Give more of the consistent guys in Smith, CJ and Holt over TO. The Arizona guys go a notch below TO because I am not sure which one is going to get more looks then the other.

All of those guys are gone by the time it gets back to me in the second...I've done three mocks and have had picks 1,3 and 2...

oops...I've ended up with Driver and R. Moss twice
