Chilly
So I pick 3rd in our keeper draft, and I know of the 2 teams in front of me, one will take Reggie Bush, and the other will take a RB, since he kept NONE. So, in a keeper league, do I go for Holt or Boldin to complement my WR keepers of R. Moss and Chambers? I know Holt is a proven long-term stud, but Boldin has some serious potential, a great WR on the other side of the field, and is 4 fewer years in the league, so will be around longer. Who is the better draft pick??
AquaticRay
I'm a huge T. Holt fan. But in keeper or Dynasty i take a boldin.
Goopster24
I'm a huge T. Holt fan. But in keeper or Dynasty i take a boldin. Ditto. Boldin is younger and on a team that should explode pretty soon offensively.
Randall
Holt stays in good shape, but I would take Boldin. The guy's a beast as well.
KUBJPO01
I'd say you have to keep Boldin, as he's so much younger. HOlt only has a couple years left but Boldin will be around for several more yrs
broncosn05
team that should explode pretty soon offensively. They haven't already
jzicc
If you are only looking at a 3 year horizon (all you can reasonably do in the NFL) , then go with Holt. 4 or more -- Boldin --- but injury issues and Fitz do make this a reasonable comparison
Jackass
I wouldnt be so fast to take Boldin over Holt. Boldin has 2 knee injuries in only 3 years of action, and he will lose alot of TD looks in an offense loaded with better red zone options. Holt is older and coming off a knee injury of his own, but he is more proven and seems more likely to score 10 TDs a year. He is clearly the Rams best option ! i agree. looking more than 3 or 4 years out is too far. i'd take holt. Chilly
Interesting. You guys have me in more of a bind than I was before about this.
alexgaddis
I'd go Holt because of the injuries that Boldin has already had...Sometimes in keeper leagues people tend to think too far ahead and plan for 4-5 years away, Boldin could be out of the league by then... Chilly
Well, sometimes it comes down to schedule. In the fantasy playoff weeks, here are Holt's and Boldin's schedules: Week 14 Holt: Chicago Boldin: Seattle Week 15 Holt: Oakland Boldin: Denver Week 16 Holt: Washington Boldin: San Fran Change anyone's mind? tomfin2000
I like Holt in this case. You've already got two big upside/big risk WRs in Moss and Chambers who put up some monster games last year and disappeared from others. It would be nice to have a steady player like Holt to balance them out.
Chilly
Holt's age scares me a bit, and his fantasy playoff schedule is worse than Boldin's. That said, I am wary that Boldin has had some injuries already. Having a tough time with this one.
Grits and Shins
Holt's age + Holt's new coach (no throw throw throw Martz anymore) = Boldin
BigMikeinNY
In a Keeper league, Boldin is a no brainer
jlie13
I like Holt over Boldin, with a healthy bulger in a new system...oh yeah, I'm saving both of these guys....
jackshi17
Boldin--with Edge in the backfield it should open the offense up.

rcswildcat
boldin should be solid for years to come
yo mama
Depends. If you're maximizing your chances at making a run for the title this year, Holt. If you're maximizing the long term value of your squad so you can win as many titles as possible over the long haul, Boldin.

Chilly
Still torn on this. Anyone have a definitive opinion one way or the other? What happens to Boldin if (when??) Warner gets hurt? Is STL going to be less focused on the pass, hurting Holt's value?

Is STL going to be less focused on the pass, hurting Holt's value? they are pretty close -- really depends on your time frame --- 2 or 3 years (3 years is all IMHO you can plan for in the NFL) --- HOLT 4 or more choose BOldin ----- in terms of a safe pick choose HOLT...
