tracerbullet
I'm in the middle of a slow online draft, and have currently got Shaun Alexander and Brian Westbrook. I'm looking for a WR next, or maybe a TE if I can nab Gates. Most of the good WR's have gone already, they went heavily and quickly. Quite a few RB's are left that I'd be happy with in the #2 spot, but I can only start 2. I'm not a big T.O. fan *at all*, but... he is talented, and it is the third round. Is Gates a "must have" at this point if I can get him? Or is the T.O. scare just a lot of talk and I should gamble on a possible superstar? Both of these guys rank about the same on my list, which is roughly the "value based" system. theeohiostate
I didn't like it either, but nabbed TO after 8 other WR's had been taken. He's a top 3 when he's happy. For the time being, he's happy. A gamble yes, but the TE positon is the deepest i've seen in all my years of FF, i'd take a #1 WR at round 3. TO is your call, i did it, but it knots my stomach at night.
Ziachild007
If you can get TO in the 3rd, you should grab him and be thrilled about it.
Gunga Din
I took T.O. in the 2nd round and then Randy Moss in the 3rd. Drafting from the 4th position. You need to have faith they will breakout again this year. Gates might not do as well with Rivers. T.O. is T.O. , noway i would pick a TE Gates over him. cubdaddy
Getting TO in the 3rd round is a great value pick! Take it. Besides -- if the run on WRs went in the 2nd round that would mean most people are looking for RBs in the 3rd...so it is still possible to get a top 3 TE in the 4th or 5th round... tracerbullet
All good points, every one of them. I guess I needed to have someone else agree that he could light it up and is worth it in the 3rd. Thanks -
