Trade Advice!?!?!

I am trying to get one more key receiver. I think the ones I have now are pretty good but this is my thought process. I play in a 10 team league where there are still some good RB's on the board. This is my trade thoughts...

Do you think I can get a top 10 WR for E.James? I R.Bush and T.Barber and can still pick up a good running back.. am I reaching too far to think maybe an E.James for S.Smith ?? If you were part of my league what or who would you give me for E.James

you should absolutely be able to get a top 10 WR for EJ. I would look for a top 5 WR for a top 10 RB. depending on your scoring etc.

RB's touch the ball much more and EJ will get his touches in ARI. They didn't pay him all that $$ to use him in play action.

Steve Smith for EJ is not asking too much in my opinion.

that being said. i would not part with EJ unless there are VERY solid options on the waiver wire. while you have 3 good RB's, i would hesitate to give up my depth at RB to add more depth to an already good WR corps. starting non-RBBC RB's are a premium. only trade him if you are getting a STUD in return.

On a stand alone basis, Edge and Smith are of roughly comperable value. Both are former elite players who are faltering a bit right now. So you could probably swing that deal. However, I'm always leary of trading a proven RB if it would leave my remaining core vulnerable to injury or bye week problems. So you'd have to elaborate on which RBs you think you could add to your squad, in addition to Bush and Barber, before I can tell you whether trading Edge away is a good or bad idea.

Furthermore, unless you are required to start 3+ WRs, adding Smith is a little questionable, as Owens and Mason should serve you well enough as your #1 and #2 WRs. So don't trade Edge just to improve your WR bench.

ok well this is a 3WR league so I am looking for a ligit WR to start.

Some of my RB's on the waiver wire are(Now keep in mind this is a small 10 team league)

W.Parker

D.McAllister

K.Jones

Parker and Jones are on waivers?!?! I don't care if it was a 6 team league, those guys should be on someone's roster.

Unless your rules require you to carry 2 TEs and 2 DEFS, dump Davis and the Broncos and add Parker and Jones immediatley. *Then* trade Edge for Steve Smith. Then, when you have TE, K, or DEF bye week/injury issues, dump Galloway to pick up fillers, as needed.

Ok but this is my problem!!! the guy who has S.Smith also has S.Alexander. So if I do that trade then that gives him Edge and alexander.. Would you do it still?

Don't worry about his team, worry about yours. First, make the free agent pick-ups I recommended. Second, propose the trade. Third, who are the free agent QBs in your league, because you may be able to upgrade from Plummer.
