frk_jr
Ward vs. Jax or Driver vs. NO. Im not really a big fan of matchups as I beleive in sticking with one guy unless somthing reall stands out. I drafted Ward higher and think he is the better receiver although playing matchups last wek and starting Driver lost me week 1. So do you guys think I should just stick with Ward or are they too close, production wise, and I play cat and mouse every week?
Bree22
You will play cat and mouse all year. Ward is always the safe play. He is the passing game and will always get the ball. He will neve put up great numbers put will get 8 to 10 TDs and 80 yds/week. Driver has more upside as well as downside. He is Farve's #1 option and they will have to throw the ball alot this year. The only true knock on Driver is that he will garner most of the attention from the Opposing Def and can he still get open? (Ward gets the same treatment but but beats the coveage). I think you can not go wrong with either one. I have both of them on different teams as my #2 and they start every week. If you like safe go with Ward if you like to gamble then Driver is the play. Couldn't agree more. Take this week against a good Jax D. Ward should be fine I'm sure he'll get a TD and 5 or so catches and 60-80 yards. Driver could have 8 catches and over 100 yards with a TD this week though but is more risky to do less. For this week based on NO at home instead of Jax on the road I would go towards Driver, I have to be honest this week it is VERY hard for me to see him not having 100 + yards and minimum 6 or 7 catches. The TD is the hit or miss though. I think Ward is more assured of getting that TD than Driver, but if he goes 7 and 96 against Chic I can't see him doing less against NO. I would go Driver this week but again I think Ward is safer. Most weeks all things equal I play Ward though just because again he is safer. KUBJPO01
Interestingly enough, Ah. Green was able to run for 110 yards on, arguably the NFL's toughest Defense last week. I don't think that will happen again even though Saints Def. is not as tough. I agree Ward a safe bet to get about 60-80 and a TD. I'm not a gambler and those are good #'s from a #2 WR and can help win a game.
