A. Bryant over Horn?

Recommended Posts

Is this a no brainer? Did I waste my #2 WR pick on Horn?

Is it a safe call to start A. Bryant over Horn this week?

I would give Bryant the start this week, but I wouldn't give up on Horn yet as far as the season goes. I still think he'll be a valuable guy to have on your roster.

I agree also, right now with Steve Smith injured its crazy for me to pick WR. I am going Antiono Byrant and Issac Bruce, leaving horn on my bench this week

I would do the same if I was in your position.

Thanks guys.... hopefully horn does pan out, otherwise I wasted a huge pick on him. I think A. Bryant has huge potential, I just hope the A. Smith/Bryant connection continues this week and for the rest of the season.

Do your team a HUGE favor and do NOT feel like you owe yourself to hang on or to start Horn because you wasted a HIGH pick on him. It is time to face up to a BAD pick, unlike "real" owners that will not admit to a bad pick and continue to try and make them work!!!

I would trade Horn before he is discovered to be washed up...get what you can for him now!!!!!

by the way...Brees can't throw the ball further than 30yds.....

I agree with you all the way bone. I didn't want to draft him, but my co-owner thought he was the best value at the time in my large league. I hope he pans out, but I'll admit, I'm not fond of him, and I think most owners will realize he was ranked wayyy too high this year on most draft boards.

this week it's bryant... I'll see what horn does - then probably shop him no matter what the result.

Yep. All that matters is that you can put together a solid starting lineup of players. Where, where, and how you got them doesn't matter.

That's why bad drafters put themselves on cruise control after they've put together the core of their starting lineup in the first five or six rounds and good drafters are still acting like every pick is crucial in the final rounds. Good drafters know that at least a couple of those "sure things" that they drafted as starters will either be injured or turn out to be busts, so they're always looking for a mixture of solid veterans and young players with some real upside to to fill in their rosters late.

In short, and to paraphrase bonddaddies, don't feel stupid because you picked Horn to be your second WR. Feel smart because you picked Bryant as a guy with some real upside and potential to fill in your roster while your buddies were picking up guys like Duce Staley and a second defense.

haha... you hit it right on the nail.... while people were picking up kickers I was still grabbing rookies and receivers that I thought had potential this year - over #2 WR's that are more household names. I hope he works out, if not, hopefully Bryant can be a stud this year.

I would start Bryant this week and see what Horn will do. Maybe he will have a big week and you can trade him. I am the guy that in the past has held onto those types in hopes that they come back - Eddie George killed me one year. Last year may have set a record for waiver wire transactions. I ended up the year starting Samkon Gado and Ricky Williams - but they got me to a 3rd place finish.

Good luck!!

Thanks - I'm using the same strategy....even if Horn does well this week I'll probably shop him.

Eddie George... I think I know which year you had him - ouch!! Live and learn.
