tomfin2000
Ron Dayne + NFL = forever worthless No lie. First he went from being the Broncos starting running back to being cut in favor of guys like Cedric Cobbs and Damien Nash without even playing a down in the regular season. Now he's with the Texans less than three weeks and they've already traded for another RB (Gado). By this time next year, he'll probably be out of the league altogether. Liverlips
So that's a no. How does he go from Heisman to a nobody?
Jackass
if you have deep rosters he's probably worth a spot but i wouldn't hold your breath

DMD
So that's a no. How does he go from Heisman to a nobody? Thing is that Dayne did get a Heisman but never has been anything in the NFL despite multiple chances that would have never happened were it not for him having a productive college career. RB is the one position that players can most quickly step into and produce and that even an average back can look okay because much had to do with blocking and just running in the right direction. Dayne just has never shown the ability to be even average. What worked in Wisconsin in college just wasn't good enough for the NFL. The Heisman Trophy has more total flops than success stories.
