GWPFFL BrianW
It's early, but Michigan is looking real good. Just stopped ND again. When Michigan protects Henne, he picks them apart. Irish secondary looks pretty weak.
GWPFFL BrianW
another henne-manningham connection. Irish have 18 total yards so far. ouch.
theeohiostate
Too many time in college sports you see a big win followed up by a horrible showing. ND is better then what is on display, but Michigan looks a little underrated. Their D is VERY solid. I think many of the top 10-15 teams are about the same imo, the top 3-4 teams don't have any separation from the others as you'd see in recent years past. The only other team that comes as close to being overrated as Notre Dame, is Penn State! It's nice that they got to put beating a ranked team on their resume, but it's not a true test like they are getting today!

If you don't think the Notre Dame-Penn St game was huge for BOTH teams them you don't know anything about the rivalry. Regardless of how the game played out, it took alot of emmotion and college sports is 30% emmotion and 70% skill level. If your saying that Penn St will just fold up when they play Michigan your clueless. Penn St. will be ready for them and it'll be a typical good matchup. But, yes, Michigan would kill PSU!!!
GWPFFL BrianW
PSU misses Michael Robinson. Nuff said there. And everyone was sleeping on Michigan, but not me, I had them pegged as a sleeper. Remember 1997? They werent supposed to be that good that year, presesason ranked 17th or something like that. Similar to this year. Fact is Michigan has just as much offensive talent as any team in the country, and certainly as much as Notre Dame. It's there defense that needs to show itself, and they are today. A GREAT first half performance.

It is pretty easy to kick a team when they are down.

But, yes, Michigan would kill PSU!!! PSU was over-rated at #17 after being one play from going undefeated last year ? Get a clue. We will find out if Michigan will kill PSU later this year. Penn State is NOT as bad as they looked last week, Notre Dame is NOT as good as they looked last week or as bad as they look this week........... it will all play out in the end. GWPFFL BrianW
As I said... PSU dearly misses Michael Robinson. Very much like Texas dearly misses Vince Young.
Menudo
As I said... PSU dearly misses Michael Robinson. Very much like Texas dearly misses Vince Young. No doubt about that. Morelli has a great arm, but, he is inexperienced, and lacks the leadership and ability to make the big plays at crucial times that Robinson displayed. Penn State's year is next year, but, I think they will surprise people with how well they finish the rest of their schedule. 8-3 going into the bowl game. GWPFFL BrianW
I would always take Penn State seriously regardless. Last week I don't think Penn State was as bad as the Irish made them look, nor do I think the Irish are as good as PSU made them look. I think it was somewhere in the middle. However, Morelli's 11/27 against Youngstown State is major cause for concern.
GWPFFL BrianW
So does Iowa's first half performance agianst Iowa State. At Illinois next week. Hopefully we'll take that game a little more seriously than Syracuse. I don't even want to think about the Buckeyes right now. I'll let you do that.
