RakeFighter
From CBSSportsline.com: "News: Deion Branch will not make his Seattle Seahawks debut Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, after all. The NFL has given the Seahawks a two-week roster exemption for the former Super Bowl MVP, acquired Monday from the New England Patriots in a trade that ended Branch's 45-day contract holdout. Seattle would have had to release a player from its 53-man roster by Saturday afternoon in order to add Branch for Sunday's game." I've not heard this info anywhere else, but I tend to believe it. I was looking forward to starting Branch in lieu of the questionable Houshmandzadeh..
Grits and Shins
According to Tacoma News Tribune staffer Mike Sando, the Seahawks will not activate Deion Branch until next week. Branch is working under a two-week roster exemption and the Seahawks had until 1 p.m. pacific time today to release a player and activate Branch, but that did not happen. Head coach Mike Holmgren wasn't willing to sit down another player, possibly another receiver (most likely D.J. Hackett), because Branch hasn't had time to learn the system. As Sando suggested, that's what this decision was about. Now they have another week to get him up to speed.

If he was the ONLY reciever you had to start in front of who's-your-mamma, then I would have done it. Don't expect Deion to put up the big fantasy numbers in the next few weeks. I got Branch as a 16th round pick, so any production I get from him will be a sort of "bonus." As it stands now, I have to start Housh again, and just hope he sees some action, though I doubt he will.
