packman
I have Eli Manning as my starter and John Kitna as my backup(ouch)? I am in a 12 team performance league where all tds are 6 pts and additional for yardage. Would you drop Kitna for Pennington or Brunnell as a backup QB? RavenFeeder
I'd go with Pennington. The Jets have a sweet schedule this year, especially closer to play-off time.
Muggsy
I wouldn't drop Kitna for either just yet
Brownsfan420
Hold on to Kitna. He is capable of very respectable numbers and makes a good bye-week starter. Much more upside than Brunell and I'm not convinced Pennington can keep it going for a full season.

Medal of Honor
I may have a vendetta against Kitna, being a Seahawks fan, but I say drop him for Chad. Yes, we know it's only been one week, but look at how he did two seaons ago. He is definitely capable of those numbers again, and like somebody said, they have a good schedules later on in New York. Brunell is a good QB, but not in fantasy.
bsubroncos
Keep Kitna for now. The Lions opened up with a tough schedule, but it will lighten up soon.
