gd74
Anyone see the end of the Jets game....with Corey Dillon on the sidelines...the training staff wouldn't let the cameras show what was wrong with him....I wonder if its serious
ced1001
Didn't look serious... I think he had his bell rung.
KG4MVP
Didn't look serious... I think he had his bell rung. Looked more like his knee went down in the turf hard, but who knows. Took a high low tackle and his knee took the turf pretty good. For those who missed it, a trainer's assistant shooed away the cameras when they tried to air a shot of Dillon getting treatment. Never seen anything like that before, but not out of character for the hush hush Pats. The only thing we know to be true is that we will have no info about the injury until after next week's start. Thanks Bill.

NinersIn2006!
All I got to say as a former Dillon owner, GOOD LUCK regardless if he is injured or not...because BB is an a-hole and will never let you know how truly hurt a player is... Czarina
I'm not sure if this is the play in question, but I did see him get shaken up during a rushing play. He went up the middle through a sizeable hole and appeared to jam his neck when he crashed helmet first into Vilma. He lay on the turf for a couple minutes and did get up by his own power and walk off with assistance.
burton164
The way Dillon was pounding the ball yesterday, he is gonna get dinged up eventually. That dude is sick.
gd74
This was on Cbs Sportsline Dillon, Corey RB NE News: Patriots RB Corey Dillon rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown on 20 carries in Week 3 vs. the Jets. The Patriots won 24-17, but Dillon was not there to celebrate with the team after the game. With less than two minutes to go, Dillon left the game with an appearent leg injury and Patriots personnel blocked cameras from getting a look at Dillon being worked on. Analysis: The extent of Dillon's injury is unknown and his true status might not be revealed until the Friday before Week 3's game vs. Denver. Keep Dillon reserved until further injury news is made public.
The Wolf
Let the Lawrence Maroney era begin. Pats fans must love playing the Jets...Mo Lewis began the Tom Brady era by knocking our Drew Bledsoe and now we've potentially sprung Maroney. Goopster24
I have Maroney too and this could be the gold I need. Suh-weet.
KG4MVP
No kidding. As a Maroney owner I'm on the edge of my seat as to how bad he's hurt. Fact... my injury perspective is also from a pro-Maroney platform. The booth called it a neck injury, but that's not what I saw. Dillon was tending to his leg when the trainers came to the field. Likewise, trainers were not looking at his neck on the sideline. Me thinks it's time to give Maroney the 2RB spot.

They probably tended to his leg to throw everyone off the scent. Has anyone heard anything new this? Curious Dillon owner inquirying... chonchito
from rotoworld: The Boston Herald says Corey Dillon "appears to be fine" after appearing to suffer a minor injury Sunday. The Herald repeats a sequence we detailed Monday when a Patriots staffer blocked cameras hoping to see trainers working on Dillon. But Dillon looked fine after the game and it doesn't appear to be a big deal.

Bellicheck was on the local sports show yesterday and a co-host asked about Dillon. Everyone got quiet and kind of laughed, one guy said the injury report comes out Wednesday with updates on Thursday and Friday. Bellicheck sort of agreed with the guy. So nothing new here and I'd be surprised if he wasn't listed as a P/Q tomorrow. Oh and as a Dillon owner with LT on a bye I may have to start both TJones and Benson if he doesn't go..... nhoops
Also from Mike Reiss article on Boston.com http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patr...reiss/09_19_06/ He thought Dillon looked fine in the locker room after the game.. Just another take, nothing new
