It looks like I am going into next week 0-2 and I figured I needed to do something to improve. My old team is below and here is my new team with commentary.

QB - Rex Grossman - maybe not consistent enough yet but I think I am going to pick up Leftwich to backup.

RB - Ronnie Brown - Consistent so far but not the points you expect out of a 1st rounder

RB - LT - Just got in a trade for Palmer and McGahee

WR- Boldin - Consistent WR hopefully will get more chances

WR - Keyshawn - Who knows what Carolina's offense is going to do any how will Keyshawn do when Smith gets back

WR- Colston - WW pickup love that I can play at both TE and WR

TE - Desmond Clark - WW has a lot of points for TEs in my league. Doing better then Wiggins and I still have Colston now.

K - Vanderjact - WW pickup Feely wasn't getting the job done now hopefully the "Idiot Kicker" can.

Defense - Seattle right now Top Ten defense but worried about next week against the Giants

Bench - Rod Smith - Has a concussion would be a starter but wondering if age is finally catching up.

Bench - T Jones and Cedric Benson - maybe the RB position will be solidifed in Chicago by Bye week time for Brown and LT to be a good fill in.

What do you think I know I am weak at WR and QB but now feel solid everywhere else. Thanks for the advice.

well, your season will go as LT goes. brown, unfortunately, is in a very bad offense, which will hurt his numbers. boldin is nice, but beyond him, there is nothing else to inspire any excitement. i probably would not have dealt away palmer and mcgahee. palmer is an impact player and willis is adequate. with the chicago duo you have on the bench, i think you had enough RB options to work with and you took a major, major hit at QB.

Thats what I was worried about but with the numbers of my team Palmer and McGahee combined had 20 points. LT has 30. Grossman has 34 and if I pick up Leftwich or A Smith they each have around 20. Also Brown has 28 pts on the year. So IMO I have the best RB tadum in my league and I decent #1 WR, solid TE, K, and Defense and #3 Wrs. I am only weak now at QB, which I can hopefully play the matchups the whole season and might be able to make another trade for a decent WR or QB. I am 0-2 and have to do something fast to have a chance to make the playoffs. But that is just my opinion and I appreciate your thoughts.

you do realize that this is not relevant looking ahead ...

Yes but Grossman also has one of the easiest schedules for an offense this year. Also the Bears play ball control with short passes and high % and no sacks. Even if he gets 200 and a TD he makes up for the lack of production McGahee was giving me. Also maybe I will get lucky and this is Grossmans year but at least I am taking a chance at something which is what I have to do with an 0-2 team.

it is a classic fantasy mistake to deal away proven talent and put your hopes on the early blowout performance of a player with no history. you let palmer go at QB to rest your fate with rex grossman, or any of the other bad QBs you mentioned. LT is a nice step up, but you lost the edge at QB and you lost depth by getting rid of mcgahee as well. you can try and justify it all you like, but you have a fantasy team with mushin, clark, grossman, keyshawn, and colston making up the bulk of it. that does not spell success.

I disagree last year I had a team similar to this one. My QB was Leftwich RBs were the similar and I finished 2nd. Yea its great to have depth at RB but who cares if you have an injury at RB your most likely going to lose anyway. If you have an injury you can make up some of the production with playing matchups. Also I gave away my edge at QB for an edge at RB which I prefer to have. Again the team I had before the LT trade is O-2 I have to do something and I have another trade in the works for a better WR so its just a difference of opinion and yes I can try to justify it all I want because when it comes down to it is my team. You can try to justify your deals because it is your team, so why don't we wait until the end of the season to see who is right.
