cliaz
Good luck. I was in the army. I wish I had went navy or air force though. If you are lucky you will be shipped to Fort Jackson S.C. and if you do went you go out on pass head down to the naked Iguana. Great bar. They have a may fest down there that rocks and all the hotels in the area give discounts to the recruits from the base. if you get stuck going out to Fort Lost in the Woods then there is this buck tooth hooker name ronnie out there that if you close your eyes tight enough you can pretend it's really a woman and not a tranny.....though her hairy knuckes will mess you up. good luck! Robash
Im enlisting in the United States Army in March. I figure I will wait till football season is over. But yeah, Im excited. should think about the airforce, we dont get shot at...well as much anyway. word of advice...do NOT enlist without a guaronteed job. you will thank me for that one. if you have any specific questions you can pm me, like if you are curious if the recruiter is lieing to you or not. the army is having problems with retention and recruitment so im sure they will say almost anything to get you to sign up. just make sure you really want to do this...you will be deployed to afghanistan and or iraq, there is no maybe might or could about it. I love the military, and plan on staying in for the whole 20 even with increased and longer deployments...just make sure you think this through before you sign anything on a whim. i give you for your choice
thecerwin
I totally thought this was going to be a stupid Seahawk thread or something. Enlisting in the armed forces is one of the most honorable actions you can do for your country. Thank you for that. Very good idea on waiting until the football season is over! Kid Cid
Big props to you. Listen to Robash about a guaranteed job. If memory serves and they haven't changed things, make sure that job/MOS isn't 11 Bravo (Infantry). cliaz
Also if you are asked to find a left handed anything just know it's the Drill Sgt. screwing with ya and you might as well just drop and give them 20 push-ups cuz you aint gonna find it. Couple things to know. 1. Your three drill Sgts. are going to beat the ever living piss out of you. and when you finally fall down crying and hurting then they will start to kick ya. Just get used to it for the first 4 weeks. After that they become the coolest people you'll ever meet and will be more important to you than your high school football coach. 2. You will not take a crap the first 5 days of boot camp. Your body isn't broken, you are just using up all the calories. 3. Don't try and jerk off. Not because of the urban legend of them putting saltpeter in the food and drink, it's because mosre than likely you aint going ot have any walls in the sh1tters to hide in to slick one out and you can't do it in your bunk because there is always someone awake on duty walking around. 4. You will get around 15 shots all at once. 90% chance that you will faint because of it. No shame in it. I didn't but I got really sick and light headed. Don't worry they don't use needles, they use those air guns to shoot you up and if you flinch they can blow out your muscle. 5. Might as well go down to the local bath house and get used to bathing with 60 guys.
