74tommyboy
So, Delhomme is having a horrible start to the season. I know that it is only week two and luckily, Eli has been pulling me through. Johnson just went on the WW and I am thinking of keeping him as my b/u. E;o will be on bye for week 4 and B. Johnson will be @ Buffalo. Delhomme will be in NO and it seems that w/ Smiths return unknown.. NOt sure if I can count on him for the win. Any thoughts on the strategy? --------------------------------------------------- QB: Delhomme, E. Manning RB: S. Alexander, D. Foster, T. Jones, J. Norwood, M. Morris WR: D. Mason, L. Evans, D. Branch, T. Williamson TE: J. Shockey, De. Clark PK: R. Longwell D: Indy Rush/Rec TD's: 6 pts or more. Rush/Rec yds: 1 pt per 10 yds. Pass TD's: 6 pts or more. Pass yds: 1 pt per 25 yds. Start 1 QB, 2 RB's 2 WR's, 1 Flex RB/WR, 1 TE, 1PK and 1DEF
thefax
Yea I feel for ya. I have Delhomme on my team also. Grossman is available in my league, don't know if I should pull the trigger either. Before Sunday I was going to drop Farve for Grossman but now I don't know if I should be dropping Delhomme. I am off to an 0-2 start and the QB position has been my undoing both weeks. In your case I think picking up Johnson makes sense...
mentobe24
I would wait to see how Delhomme does when Steve Smith comes back...
daboz
I would wait to see how Delhomme does when Steve Smith comes back... yea I think so, I have him too. ya got to think there's more to it than Smith, right? I mean,,, how much can this QB's successes rest on one guy?
daboz
Delhomme could still suck after the big return!
Eliath
Delhomme could still suck after the big return! I agree and if you wait until after the BIG return and Delhomme STILL sucks...you will have missed the boat on the free agent pick ups. My fear is that even when(if) Smith comes back and makes a difference Delhomme has dropped/fumbled WAY too many times for comfort already this season. I wonder about the O-line. I have Delhomme and I have decided to take the chance and drop him in favor of someone who at least looks like a quarterback with options. Its fantasy football, if you dont take at least one chance in the season you will probably never win your league.
gd74
SMith makes such a huge difference on that team that its not even funny.... and its because he is the only good receiver on that team....so good that teams know he is the only receiver and cant shut him down. Smith takes the 8th man out of the box....then the running game will be more sucessful....then play action comes into account....which makes Delhomme a solid QB
74tommyboy
I will probably drop one of my WRs (L. Evans) and pick B. Johnson up just for insurance on Delhomme. Evans hasn't done crap and I don't see any big changes in the future.
