JoseyWales
Now that Chad Jackson and Doug Gabriel are healthy, will someone emerge as the Brady's go to WR in New England? Before the season started I thought Gabriel had a good chance to be that guy. Now I'm having second thoughts. Did anyone watch Sunday's game? What do you think? forever in debt to mo lewis
jackson looked good...he dropped another sure td pass...one of about 30 yards....but i dunno if id count on anyone to be the "go to guy"...but its pretty apparent...that jackson is the most talented
yo mama
I'm still waiting for it to be Ben Watson. But opponents have done a good job of limiting his effectiveness so far.

He was very apologetic after the drop too and made up for it. That's really what you want, accountability. Taller and faster than Branch, but the offense is complex so...? I think he was the best prospect in the draft too. How he didn't go in the first round is a real mystery. Just activated him from DTS so I hope he plays. Big Country
Brady has never really been one ot have a primary WR, he really does spread the ball around a lot. That said, I think Jackson has the best chance of becoming the #1 WR on the Patriots, though what that translates to in stats remains to be seen. ced1001
I wouldn't bank on any WR to emerge as a "clear #1 target" for Tom Brady this year. It took him 3 years to develop that level of chemistry with Branch. Right now the only player he feels really comfortable going to is Troy Brown (it would be Watson but he's being doubled almost every play). In the long-term i think both Jackson and Gabriel fit into the Pats' plans as the outside WRs. When this happens (probably not until late this year) you'll see Troy and/or Reche move into the slot/#3 role.

Czarina
Without looking at the schedule, I'd predict a rocky road ahead for the Pats passing game. While there are some talented guys there, they're WAY behind in chemistry and timing development (the new guys). I'm expecting them to continue to lean on the running game right now. So far, opposing defenses haven't really stacked the box against them either. If this lopsidedness continues though, I imagine they will. Those WRs need to develop ASAP.
