spartyon
Any insight on whether it would be prudent to drop DeShaun Foster and pick up his current "backup?/RBBC mate" DeAngelo Williams? I read the local papers out of carolina and they seem to be all over foster's upside, so I tend to lean towards players with big play ability when I can. I can only usualy catch the Detroit tenderloins on TV so was wondering if I could get some healthy constructive criticism on this. I can only keep 3 backs, and start 2 with no flex. I also am a steller 0-2, thus giving me the 1st in the waiver order ability to make this maneuver. The rest of the squad: qb:vick/rivers rb:dunn/j.lewis/d.foster wr:c.johnson/t.holt/e.kennison Thanks!
PSULions
It is stuff to say without knowing more about your scoring system. With the very limited rosters that you have, there may be a better RB out there on the WW, so that is also something to think about too. Back to your main question, though. I go to all the games and I must say that I think it is only a matter of time before DeAngelo becomes the starter for the Panthers. He has at extra burst of speed and the ability to go to the corner before getting around the D and into the secondary. Foster is a good back, but the OL is a little spotty know with the lost of Warton against the Falcons and the extra speed and cutback ability of Williams sort of reminds me of Dunn and Westbrook. If you get credit for receptions, I believe that DeAngelo will get plenty of catches as a check down option and for screens that he can make big plays from. Foster will continue to get carries, which will limit each player, but I think it was telling that Williams was in the backfield when the Panthers had their TD drive and against the Vikings and he was able to break through the line and into the endzone, so if you had to pick between Foster and Williams, I would go with Williams for the better upside. Hope this helps.
