JoseyWales
I think I can get Anquan Boldin for one of Willie Parker/Fred Taylor and one of Derrick Mason/Rod Smith. It's a PPR league, 1 point for every 10 yards and 6 points per touchdown. We start 2 RBs, 3 WRs and a RB/WR. At RB and WR I have: Larry Johnson Willie Parker Chester Taylor Fred Taylor Travis Henry Torry Holt Donald Driver Derrick Mason Rod Smith Doug Gabriel Whatver package I give up will cause some bye week problems, but I'm willing to work around that if it makes my team better overall. I'm more worried that if I trade away one of my RBs I won't be able to play matchups as much and I'll be more vulnerable to an injury. Is it a no brainer anyway since I can start four WRs if a RB gets hurt? And if you're still reading, which package would be best for me to give up? Taylor and Smith? sampson
If you can get him for Fragile Freddy and Old man Rod I would do it. If I had Boldin I wouldn't do it though.
chinatown dragons
I wouldnt do Willie Parker and Mason for Boldin....Parker is a strong back on a team that loves to run the football...Mason will have a decent year...Yes, Boldin is a 'stud', but first two games, most of the balls are going to Fitz....add in Edge running the ball, I dont think you are going to see past seasons of 100 catches and 10-12 tds from Boldin.....I DO think that combined, Parker and Mason will have more TDs than Boldin... If the Boldin owner will do it for Fred Taylor and Smith, Do it.
JoseyWales
I DO think that combined, Parker and Mason will have more TDs than Boldin... But I'm only going to start one of them a lot of weeks, so I'm not going to get all of their TDs. And Boldin only had two less targets than Fitz, so it's not like Warner has forgotten about him. PCs
agree with sampson - low ball and work your way up!
jive1
I'd trade Mason and Rod Smith for Boldin. RB is a more injury prone position, so I'd rather have the depth at RB. Freddy is getting old, but he's looked strong the last two games. Boldin is an upgrade over Mason, and Rod would probably sit on your bench most of the time anyway. I'd make the move. footbal1
I stay away from playing the match ups. Receivers can have huge games but it's usually the backs the win games in FF. Parker wil be losing some carries but is still a work horse. Perhaps tayor and smith
tomfin2000
You can start 3 RBs. That's all I needed to know to tell you not to do this deal or any other that will cost you depth at the RB position. Your WRs are fine. Most weeks you'll start Holt and Driver, and once the Baltimore offense has to score more than a TD to win, Mason will be a fine WR3. Otherwise your teams is actually very DEEP and you don't need to trade. Edited September 20, 2006 by Gunga Din
