Randall
George Bush has done basically anything he wanted, expanding presidential power with no real over sight. My case to change this for both parties is this- If this power isn't reeled in... What if Hillary does exactly the same thing?
Perchoutofwater
Do you honestly think that Hilary is electable? I hope and pray that the rest of your party feels that way too.

I don't think she is electable at all, but if America is willing to put an incompetent monkey who re-defined historical failures in office for 2 terms then maybe Hilary isn't out of the realm of possibility. Squeegiebo
Just becauuse the idiot Republicans stupidly went the impeachment route is no reason for the Dems to follow that lead. We don't need impeachment. We need the other branches of goverment to grow a set and start using the checks and balances. Anyway, would anyone really rather have Dick Cheney as President? You don't honestly believe that do you? There is no way she will ever be the President of our nation. I'm surprised you are willing to compromise your own dignity by suggesting such a humiliating figure for Democrats to be elected as our President. However, you are free to speak your mind... Grunt, we've all seen you haplessly flounder trying to explain your own comments. Would you be kind enough to point out where I suggested that Hillary Clinton should become our president? We had an incompetent monkey in office for two terms before Bush, hell, that's what we expect by now!
bushwacked
We had an incompetent monkey in office for two terms before Bush, hell, that's what we expect by now! Clinton is dispecable, disgraceful, immoral, and a liar, but not incompetent.
Retrograde assault
Clinton is dispecable, disgraceful, immoral, and a liar, but not incompetent. clinton had 8 years in office before 9-11 and bush had 8 months, clinton was incompetent. maybe he wasn't a monkey, but he was a dog. bushwacked
clinton had 8 years in office before 9-11 and bush had 8 months, clinton was incompetent. Your logic is undeniable! Incompetence is based upon how long you were a president of the United States before September 11, 2001 relative to George W. Bush. Therefore, Clinton is 12 times as incompentent as Bush! Kid Cid
Say what you want about Clinton's morals and his neanderthal of a wife, but he was anything but incompetent as a president. Of course it helped that the other party had power over the Congress. And just so that we're clear, this isn't a Dem/Rep thing it's a "this country is governed best when one party holds the White House and the other party holds the Congress" thing. Duchess Jack
I don't think this has anything to do with Hillary being electable. Would repugs allow Hillary the same amount and type of power that Bush is afforded?

It's just the way things are.

cre8tiff
I want the Rebs out as much as anyone, but I see no way in Hell Hillary beats either McCain OR Guiliani. We need a moderate Democrat that disenfranchised Repubs can back, not a liberal lightning-rod.
