Guess when that contest started I should have joined up. Not sure who lost what, but I think I could have competed.... and competed well.

When I started my tour last May I weighed in at a fat 222 on a 5'5" frame. When I got to California I weighed in at 225.... and when I went to WCOFF in Sept I weighed in at a very fat 233.

When I had my annual physical in late Jan I was down to 222 again. In April on a return visit to the Dr. I was down to 194.

I weighed myself just before I went down to CA on 21 Aug and I weighed 185.... and when we headed to Vegas, two weeks later, I weighed in at 179.

Weighed myself this AM and I am down to 173.

60 Lbs lost in a year (WCOFF to WCOFF). I think I could have competed in that contest. Though I have not reached my target (my personal target..nothing anyone set for me or mentioned) weight I think I have a good shot at it by next summer at the latest.

Just thought I would share something good happening with me.

That's a mindboggling amount of weight to shed on your frame. Incredible! :D

PS.....Not too much more......you really look great just as you are....but I thought you looked fine before.....so what do I know. How you feel is all that counts.

so what was it? light beer? lipo? cut off an arm? enquiring minds want to know ...

Bunch of things I guess..but none that you mentioned. LOL

I don't drink soda much anymore.... seldom eat potatoes, bread, or rice. Use very little, if any, sugar in my coffee.

Think that mostly was my change in eating habits. I used to eat once a day. Now I usually eat 4 times a day. Bowl of cherrios for breakfast.. or some bacon and eggs. I have my big meal at around 12PM.. and usually throw 1/2 of it away. Two snacks (fruit or jello or maybe popcorn)... one at around 3-4 and one around 6. And I drink around 6 or so 12oz glasses of water from noon 'til bedtime.

I still eat pretty much the same stuff I have always eaten... just less and earlier in the day. My Dr. asked me when I had my main meal and I told him between 4-5. He said eat earlier... I do... and since then the weight has really come off....and I sleep better too.

I have always felt my most comfortable at 134... so that is what I am shooting for. I will be happy with 140-150 though...

Ok... I'm happy for Sky, and I think it's great that he feels healthier and looks better.

But I'm not sure I ever want to see Sky looking "fabulous".

No sir. That brings a very un-Sky image to mind.

OK....not the "sparkly jumpsuit, flamer" kind of "Fabulous".....lol. :D

He was the "wow....how much weight HAVE you lost.....you look GREAT!" sort of fabulous.

That's a macho, good-looking fabulous......not a ghey fabulous. :D

Nice. :D

I personally would like to drop about 20lbs myself but haven't found the motivation for it just yet. I think I'll try some of the things you mentioned in your follow up post in regards to eating earlier in the day, etc.

I salute you, Sky. But at the rate you're losing weight you'll be disappeared by WYCOFF 2008. :D

Lord I hope not.

Soon as I get to a comfortable weight I will start with potatoes and rice and such.... figure I can maintain a 2-3 lb up and down from then on.

And for those of you that were wondering... I have never read a diet book and don't know anything about fad diets. I am on the "skylive5 diet" and I am sure it would never be endorsed by anyone, let alone a Dr. LOL

:D

I used to be on a great diet after college. It involved never buying groceries, chain-smoking Camels, and getting stoned and falling asleep on the couch every night without ever eating dinner.

Nice work Sky.

I dropped from 255 to 210 in 3 months. 6' 1"

But after i came off the diet i shot back up to 230lbs. Just started working out again yesterday to get back down to 210. I feel like a rabbit :D

45 lbs in 3 months is too quick I think. They say that fast pounds don't stay off. And no need to salad it since salad is chock full of carbs. Just stay away from the spuds, rice, bread, pasta, and eat smaller meals.

And the most exercise I get is when I lift my coffee cup or do the dishes. LOL

Good luck to ya... I know you felt a lot better at 210 than you do now.
