If the other team has Chambers as their best receiver

Recommended Posts

Thats an interesting concept...depends on what the scoring in your league is. Who are the other receivers that he has?

What do you think?

Let me step in so "Big Country" does not have to say this for the 518th time.......NO, if Warner will score more points than Culpeper it does NOT matter who his receivers are. Start who you think will get you the most points.

I have always had a theory that by starting a QB or WR in the same game would keep you even if the game is REALLY high or REALLY low scoring, but have been convinced by Country and others that it ONLY sounds good on paper :D

Start who will get you the most points.

:D Look at Culpeppers numbers after he had no more Moss, u will see that he could not pass his way out of a paperbag. The only thing that you should be thinking is that if his best receiver, than he will not do much at all with his passing game. Why not take advantage by using Warner.

Darth, did Cpep cost you your "money" league championship game or did you just waste a first round pick on him went he went down for the year?? :D

Let's simplify it a little more for ya...

Let's say Chambers has a great game - 150yds and 2TDs... CPepp has 250yds and those 2 TDs...

Does this neutralize Chambers game when Warner goes out and throws 300yds and 3TDs? Start the bum who will score you the most points. It doesn't freakin' matter who the other team starts.

I use this concept in rare occasions. In this case, Warner should outscore C-Pep by a lot, so start him. But, if you had two qb's (or WR's) that were even, then this strategy could come into play. If your team was a heavy underdog, then I say swing for the fences and play the non teammate. How many times has an underdog won because a QB or a WR had a huge game? It happens all the time, so if my team was a heavy favorite, then playing a teammate would defuse some of the underdogs chances.

I think the idea that a player on your team cancels out points for a player on your opponent's team is one of the most asinine ideas ever. You should set your lineup with the players you believe will score the most points regardless of whom your opponent starts
