grassfeeder
OK, I've got Hasselbeck as my starter and he's not doing so cool right now. I picked up Alex Smith for my by week and he'll play Oakland then. Grossman just came available on the WW. The Bears play the Bills that week.... Do you think I should drop Smith real fast and pick up Grossman. I'm also concerned about Hasselbecks over-all performance to date, so in case I need to pull him, which would be the better multi-week starter? Smith or Grossman..... I hate to buy into the one week miracle Grossman is right now, but that was one hell of a week......
Hugh 0ne
If Grossman stays healthy, I see him finishing with 3200 yards, 22 TD's and 14 INT's. Being that he's already thrown 5 TD's, you can do the math. Reasons: He's not that good. His WR's are not that good. The running game is not that good. The defense is phenomenal, so he'll never need to throw a ton to win, as the games will always be close. Besides, the chances of him getting hurt again are tremendous, so I'd stay away, because his upside even if he remains healthy isn't that good. Badger1994
Grossman as long as he stays healthy will put of good numbers. As the season wears on the Bears will rely on the run. So long term I think is no better than a maginal starter. That being said, he has more talent around him then Alex Smith. I have stashed away Smith in a keeper league but Grossman is the more proven commodity. Good Luck.
Dolfan66
I'm in the same boat (Hassleback). I picked up Alex Smith just because he is playing the Raiders on a bye week. I think grossman is a fluke, Plus the bills have a good D

I've been watching the games and they look terrible.
Hugh 0ne
Smith and Grossman are a wash, and if I had to start one of them, I'd always base it on the matchup. By the time you need Grossman, he'll probably be on the IR.

Yeah, I think I'm going to stick to my squad - I really like what I've got right now - I've just been losing cause of Hasselbacks sub-par performances and it's getting to me!! I just didn't know enough about the Bears, nor do I care too, to make a decision for myself! Thanks all, it's appreciated!!!
