Seahawk37
has anyone picked up this guy to sort of screw the LT owner and for down the road when LT will be benched quite a bit. During fantasy playoffs this guy is gonna be a stud so I suggest people get a hold of him if he's a FA. I got him and already got a trade offer from the LT owner. Anyways just something to thnk about. He might help you win the super bowl down the road.
rebdog
I have LT in my league. Funny enough, the Seahawk fan in the league drafted Turner pretty high and I'm guessing it was more to screw me than anything else. Thing is, I don't see it doing much for him unless LT gets hurt. Turner is getting more time this year, but this will only serve to benefit me as it will help keep LT healthy later in the year. The only was Turner is in a position to help anyone if LT is healthy late in the year is if San Diego wraps up a high playoff spot. As big of a fan of the Chargers as I am, and as much as I love Rivers, I don't see that happening given its Rivers' first year starting and much tougher opponents are still to come. As for Turner being a FA at year end, he's a Restricted FA, meaning we can match any offer and therefore keep him or force higher compensation for him. I'd be very surprised if we just let a talent like that walk. So good luck to all you Turner owners.

LosGatosEnFuegos
SD won't be able to match the offers that Turner is going to get just to keep him on as a 2nd string RB. I really love this guy and think he'll blow up as the starter on another team (hopefully one with a decent offense so I don't need to watch another Lamont Jordan show). I drafted him as an LT handcuff because if LT goes down, Turner's production is going to be close to what LT would have done. No doubt about it. This guy is a beast. That all being said, unless Tomlinson gets injured really bad, he has little fantasy value. He'll put up some decent numbers in blowouts this year, but there aren't many of those left on the schedule. However if you're in a keeper/dynasty league, pick this guy up now. BeeR
Exactly. I have LT and have no interest in getting Turner (course having great RB depth doesn't hurt).
rebdog
SD won't be able to match the offers that Turner is going to get just to keep him on as a 2nd string RB. Any team that makes Turner an offer must be willing to give draft pick compensation as well. It could happen but their gonna have to make an offer SD's not willing to match and then come up with the picks. Its not exactly a sure thing. Plus LT will be another year older so SD might consider keeping him at an elevated salary as insurance. Turner's clutch, but I'm betting we keep him unless someone offers up a 1st. I'm sure SD will tender Turner the highest offer. I believe that nets them a 1st and 3rd round pick if another team signs him to an offer sheet. If no one signs him they get to keep him for 1 year at the price of the highest tender (not sure what it is, maybe 4 mil?). I seriously doubt they would match an offer. They already have allot of money tied into LT. They would more than likely take the picks. I think Turner could be a beast as well in the right situation, like maybe Dallas. MonkeyOne
LT owners who took him as a handcuff are doubly better off: they've got a player who'll step in if LT gets dinged up, and they've got a spare runner they can trade off (I'm getting WR2 type offers) in a redraft, and very highly in a keeper if they want. That said, I'm keeping him, I like having the Chargers running game locked up.
jetsfan
picked up this guy to sort of screw the LT owner are you in my league?
yo mama
I've got LT2 in two of my 3 leagues this year and made a point of getting Turner early just to prevent someone blocking me. So far, I'm glad I did. In PPR leagues he's currently the 17th most productive RB, and in non-PPR leagues he's around 12th best. That's unreal. I mean, he's got the 8th MOST rushing yards in the NFL right now, and he's a back up. He's averaging like 7.6 YPG. At this point, even if I didn't have LT, I'd want Turner on my roster for RB depth. There will be games you can throw him into your active line up, even if LT2 is playing. So even if you intially grabbed Turner just to screw the LT2 owner, you might considering just holding on to him. Though, if you can get good value in trade, go for it. Scorcher
In one league I have both Morris and Turner, in the other I have Turner, you never know ----could be another LJ there.
Chargerz
Turner's been discussed before in other threads. He is obviously a "must" handcuff for LT owners. His numbers are inflated at this point because of two runaway games in a row. LT will carry the load the rest of the way unless he's hurt or the Bolts get a huge lead. As to the Bolts keeping Turner on the roster in future years, A. J. has stated many times that he likes Turner as a player and a person. I see Smith doing his best to try to keep him in a Bolts uniform. That being said, Turner is anxious to be a starter somewhere else.
