yo mama
Must start 3 WRs, and my first two are set. No PPR, but we do get individual points in the PR/KR game. Here are my thoughts: Rod Smith: I love the guy, but the concussions, age, and Plummer's attrocious QB play tell me that Rod Smith is a "must bench" player until he proves otherwise. And it pains me to admit that. Troy Williamson: a stud in the making who also is active in the return game. But the match up couldn't be worse. He's been real active in the last two games, and in Game 2 didn't drop passes like in Game 1, so that's nice to see. The clear #1 WR for the Vikings, but I think we're going to be seeing the Vikings run as much as possible in Week 3, so Williamson strikes me as an iffy play. Reggie Brown: just 3 catches and 10 pass targets in two games. Bleck. But, a TD each week thus far means I've got to consider him. Stallworth's hammy is flaring up, which means Reggie Brown *could* be the Eagles' #1 WR this week against what is largely regarded as one of the NFL's worst secondaries. So there are dramatically positive and negative factors that go along with this guy in Week 3. Drew Bennett: he sees a high volume of passes each week, gets good yards, and even got a garbage time TD in Week 2. The match up isn't all that great, but the Titans' run game looks impotent, so the passing game will likely see a lot of action in Week 3. But that's no guarantee of produciton, by any means. Raider.Nation
Go Reggie Brown or Drew Bennett. Jake Plummer isn't going to come alive in Foxborough, and Williamson injured playing against Da Bears, no thanks! My vote was for Reggie Brown, I think this game is going to be much closer than what I've been reading. Therefore, Brown could play a role in it like he has the last couple. TEN should get down early to MIA though, so Bennett could come through with another solid 3rd/4th quaretr performance.
Grits and Shins
I would rule out Rod Smith for all the reasons you listed. I would rule out DBennett ... well because I think Miami is going to be on the war path after last week and TEN will suffer for it. That leaves TW vs RB .... and clearly TW has the worse matchup but is a bigger part of the game than RB. The fact that RB is not getting many looks would be the deciding factor for me ... I'd try TW despite the matchup.
MrTed46
I think Reggie Brown has the most upside this week. He has a good QB and playing a suspect defense. I think Troy is rising up in value as well, but he plays Chicago.
yo mama
I suppose I view Williamson as having the least amount of downside, because he's a lock to get 80+ yards in the return game, plus something on regular offense. But Reggie Brown probably has the best chance to score a TD this week. Choices, choices. Thanks so far to everyone who has chimed in.
