Tford
Is there any reason to worry about Robinson taking the majority of goal line carries after today's games against the Eagles?
Big Country
Not likely unless the what i have heard is an abdominal strain is worse than feared. It's a blowout game, so no point putting Gore in there to continue aggravating it.
giantsfan
If he is healthy he will still be the guy IMO. But will he be healthy is the question.
mcm
Is there any reason to worry about Robinson taking the majority of goal line carries after today's games against the Eagles? I have Gore myself. I don't think it's something to worry about, but I can't get the game, so I don't know what's going on.
alwaysrocking
well sf had the ball at one point on the 1 and ran it with gore 3 times couldn't get in and the the 3rd time he funmbled and the eagles ran it all the way back for a td. Gros Membres!
Didn't get to see the game here on the East Coast, but the score didn't look like much of a blowout. Someone already scooped up Robinson from the wire. Should I be worried?
Big Country
Didn't get to see the game here on the East Coast, but the score didn't look like much of a blowout. Someone already scooped up Robinson from the wire. Should I be worried? It was 31-3 in the middle of the third quarter I believe when Gore got dinged and Robinson came in. 31-10 after the third. Niners made it 31-17 right as the 4th startes but the Eagles scored just a few minutes later to make it a 21 point game still. Niners final score came with 6 seconds to play. So it was a blowout throughout. No reason for them to bring Gore back and risk aggravating a hopefully minor injury in a game that was already lost. Bonedaddies
well sf had the ball at one point on the 1 and ran it with gore 3 times couldn't get in and the the 3rd time he funmbled and the eagles ran it all the way back for a td. When Gore fumbled it was 24-3 about to become 24-10 and possibly a game. 98 yards later at 31-3 it WAS a blow-Out. Philly was never in trouble in the game, but I am not sold that Gore will get the ball next time they are inside the 5....he may, but he may not?? Ron Burgundy
All of you not worried should be... Nolan has already hinted that he may use Robinson at the goal line now due to his concerns about Gore fumbling. I'm a Gore owner myself and I'm worried. kingfish247
yeah concerned too,as he has been most productive back for me.....you Gore owners grabbing Robinson this week??? i'll be putting in my waiver claim for Robinson... as I'll be almost last in priority it isn't likely I'll snag him. what's interesting about Nolan saying he may switch to Robinson on the GL is that Nolan was also quoted previously as saying he's not worried about Gore's fumbling. Nolan said he'd rather not mess with the way Gore runs b/c he's a very effective runner. I think this was in one of the Huddle's team reports earlier this week. it's evident that Nolan will have to change that attitude and Gore will have to work on it. I think Gore is talented enough to make the adjustment. **edit: from their Sept 20th Team Report: The fumbles are something that does not seem to concern Nolan too much. He said he does not want Gore to change his style. Gore is a hard runner who is always battling for extra yards. "You certainly don't tell a guy not to for second effort because that's what makes Frank who he is," Nolan said. "That's why he's such an exciting runner. That's how he scored a lot of touchdowns. He's got great balance. You don't try to change them when you've got a good one." Edited September 25, 2006 by kingfish247
Steelhead
He needs to talk to Tiki and end this fumbling
giantsfan
I am a Gore owner, and yes concerned, but no not grabbing Robinson. First who would I drop, and second why because he MAY be the GL back in SF. IMO even if Gore was hurt I can't see Robinson being a big time every down RB. And if Gore is healthy he will get his because he catches passes and will still get a lot of yards. I also just don't see Nolan doing that to this kid who he seems to love so much. Can I see Robinson getting some GL carries? Sure, but do I think it is written in stone GL in comes Robinson? No. But even if Robinson got every GL carry I don't know how that makes him a must add. And I also think Gore would still be solid getting yards, catches, and some longer TD's. To me it's about health. That would be my focus as a Gore owner this week not will Robinson get GL carries. samboy
I grabbed Robinson mainly because he is listed as a WR, RB in yahoo. I can definitely afford to throw a guy in a WR spot who could potentially get goal line carries.
Vlrich
I am a Gore owner and I am not picking up Robinson Because We are talking about SAN FRANCISCO!!! Robinson is a backup RB on a crappy team.
Grits and Shins
I believe Gore is the man if healthy. Right now that is a big if.
