Randall
What are you doing today? Getting off work early to celebrate the dome's re-opening? Just curious as I can't be there. How is the city doing?

How is the city doing? Today has a Superbowl type feel to it. I am sure many will be cutting out of work early and everyone has there plans on where they will be for the game. There wasnt this much build up to the playoff game a few years back against the Rams and that was really big for us.

STL Fan
Have one for all of us, guys. God Bless. Maybe tonight will help everyone see that although there are signs of recovery, there is much to be done. Much like 9/11, WE MUST NOT FORGET! ced1001
Glad to see the Crescent City getting back on its feet. I was lucky enough to make my first trip to NO just weeks before Katrina. It's a wonderful place which runs on Heart and Soul.... I'm glad you've got your ball team back. Good luck tonight... May the Schwartz be with you. rajncajn
Unfortunately not in New Orleans, but we're getting in early at the Brew Pub where they have a big screen setup & free flowing adult beverages.
Bill Swerski
This is a bit off topic, but did anyone else see the interview with Spike Lee on ESPN regarding the Saints? I was disappointed that they aired his comments about Bush "not caring about poor people." Whatever one thinks of the Bush Administration, I thought that ESPN was rather unprofessional in giving Spike the air time to promote his political agenda. Not only is it outside of the scope of their programming but, by not providing a counter-point, they're essentially promoting his views and politicizing the return of the Saints. That's pretty weak. Now that the negativity is off my chest, congrats to the Saints, their fans, and the residents of NO. neilfish2
I don't have tickets, but plan on having a few cold ones here in the old living room (alot cheaper). The dome looks great, but don't think everything is back to normal around here. There is still a lot of work to be done. This opening came with alot of controversy, about spending money on the dome first instead of more top of the list priorities. But I think it was the right move for the area, there is such a buzz around here, most I have every seen for an event even the Superbowl...I only wish I could be in that number. Pre-game concert Green Day- when September ends Green Day & U2 - when the Saints go marching in U2 - Beautiful Day There won't be a dry eye in the dome.....
