Perchoutofwater
And sitting back and doing nothing but lobbing a few missles at asprin factories was so effective. How many times in the Clinton Administration were we attacked both home and abroad? How many times in the current administration have we been attacked in areas other than Iraq and Afganistan? skins
lies You think every intelligence agency of the US government lied in that NIE? What an idiot you are. And sitting back and doing nothing but lobbing a few missles at asprin factories was so effective. How many times in the Clinton Administration were we attacked both home and abroad? How many times in the current administration have we been attacked in areas other than Iraq and Afganistan? Um, why are you so preoccupied with Clenis's bent piener? Why go to africa and blow up a building when you can go to Iraq and take out dozens if not hundreds of US soliders.

So you are saying terrorist are targeting our military (people who are trained and paid to fight them) rather than our soft targets? I'm guessing you think that is a bad thing? Don't get me wrong, I'd rather the terrorist all turn thier swords into plows than attack anyone, but if they are going to attack someone, I'm glad they are attacking those that are trained a paid to fight them. Perchoutofwater
Why wasnt Afghanistan enough of a "front" to accomplish this purpose? I'm sure it was, but most of the same intligence agencies that compiled the data for that report as well as those of many of our allies indicated that Iraq had chemical and biological weapons, and were pursing nuclear weapons. Add to that Saddam was giving the UN the bird, and not complying with sanctions, and Iraq looked like a good target.

Didn't say that at all. I was just pointing out a possible flaw in your logic there. That's all. I wold rather them attack our military than civilian targers. A lot of people added all that up and Iraq looked like an incredibly bad target. That was the proper conclusion. The same intel agencies and allies who you cite also had contrary information and analysis which we never got to hear about which indicated that all that wrong information was in fact wrong information. General Zinni and many others tried to tell us, but they were drowned out in the fearful rush to war. Brilliant.

Nah, we're OK with the UN as long as we can enforce the resolutions that we agree with for them.

Um, that is a stupid statement, as the CIA said dont do it and we were allies with the UAE at the time and it was a royal family member present with Osama. Dr. Sacrebleu
How many times in the current administration have we been attacked in areas other than Iraq and Afganistan? pretty much on par with "...other than the shooting, how did you enjoy the play Mrs. Lincoln?" Perchoutofwater
pretty much on par with "...other than the shooting, how did you enjoy the play Mrs. Lincoln?" I know the French don't know much about wars, or atleast fighting them, but in a war people attack you. How many times have we been attacked outside a war theater during the current administration sense we declared war on terror. If you don't see the merrit in this question, then I certainly understand given your country's track record in wars over the last century.
