gilthorp
it wasn't that bad... Oh wait...it's fun to complain.
Chavez
I actually thought that Lee in the booth deep-sixed the game for that stretch - mainly because the issue of the stuff that STILL is wrong in NO showed the game for the absolute trifle that it is. Jackass
i just caught the end but when spike said that isaih would be coach of the year, and then said he's been smoking, i thought that was pretty funny.

Bill Swerski
I was surprised that the most racist man in America actually held himself in check Apparently he wasn't allowed to reiterate the "Bush doesn't care about poor people" comment that was featured on SportsCenter last night. Kornheiser tossed him a meatball to knock outta the park on that subject, but Lee wisely deferred; the MNF booth isn't really the place for that sort of stuff. Goopster24
I am not a huge Spike Lee fan. I was at the NBA draft this past summer and he totally stiffed me when I asked him for a picture.
crispirons
props to him for doing those specials on hbo. props also to him for maturing a bit and not being just an annoying A hole. i didn't hear the game, just going on what i saw on sportscenter. as far as the bush/poor thing, he's probably right, though we as americans don't like hearing it. LooGie
I was surprised that the most racist man in America actually held himself in check You know it was burning him up inside, too. He's almost as bad as that Lauren Hill wench. props to him for doing those specials on hbo. props also to him for maturing a bit and not being just an annoying A hole. i didn't hear the game, just going on what i saw on sportscenter. as far as the bush/poor thing, he's probably right, though we as americans don't like hearing it. Spike Lee is a racist duche bag and the world is NOT a better place with him in it. However, the cause he's fighting for (which he's probably fighting for the wrong, racist reasons) is a valid cause, and he handled himself quite well in the booth. Good for him, but more importantly, good for us. I sort of wish he would've spouted off and got some actual attention on how bad that booth is being handled this year. But I digress. And for the record, last year I was COMPLETELY defending owner Benson if he chose to relocate the Saints. I also made the arguments that nobody would have the time/money to care about football in New Orleans for many years, and city could not support an NFL franchise for years to come. I was CLEARLY wrong on that point. And I'm damn happy for it too. The fans showed up and brought the soul with them. Good for them, good for the saints and good for the city of New Orleans. I've never been more happy to be wrong. Ever.

rebdog
i'm Canadian so maybe i'm missing something on this issue, but why is Spike Lee a racist?
Bronco Billy
The biggest racists in american have posted above. What idiots. Why is that? Because they called out a black man for his incredibly inflammitory positions based almost exclusively on the color of a person's skin? Do you think that because a man is black that he can't be a racist? Although I do think calling Spike the most racist man in America is wrong - I think that title goes to Mfume and Spike is a weak contender for the crown. That's baloney. Do you think minorities are incapable of putting together and voicing a coherent rational point of view? That's implicitly racist in and of itself, and quite frankly offensive. To excuse blatant racism simply because of a "need to be heard" or because "they can't do any better" does nothing more than give that racism a blank check - and it is being used by some, including Spike.
